It's early, so all the precincts haven't reported yet, but the early returns of the gayest Star Wars ever ain't great.
And by that, I mean Star Wars: The Acolyte is tracking to be – by FAR – the most hated of the entire franchise. That's right. Worse than Last Jedi. Worse than Solo. Worse than Attack of the Clones.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, through two episodes, the newest Disney+ series – which made waves earlier this week when it was deemed the gayest Star Wars yet during an interview with creator Leslye Headland – has an abysmal 31% approval rating from the audience.
Shockingly – not really at all – it's sitting at a staggering 91% from the critics, which is so on brand it hurts.
The very obvious message? Fans don't want woke crap shoved down their throats. Progressive critics, however, LOVE it.
I mean, duh. Come on. Anyone with half a brain saw this coming from a mile away.
Disney execs are just so dumb. Honestly, it's stunning how stupid they are. George Lucas handed them the keys to arguably the most successful movie franchise ever a decade ago, and all they've done since is piss it all away.
Will that 31% rating go up as more episodes are released? Maybe. I have no clue. I heard rumors the third episode will have something about pronouns in it, though, so that'll probably help!
PS: no, that's not a joke. It actually does. Seriously.
Anyway, as for the actual score … it's easily the worst, so far, of the entire franchise. The next lowest? The Last Jedi, which sits at a measly 41%. I hated that movie so much, so I think even that's way too high. What a disgrace.
After that, you have Attack of the Clones at 56%, and Phantom Menace at 59%. That last one is stupid, if you ask me. Phantom Menace was good, especially the final 30 minutes. Honestly, it's better than New Hope.
There. I said it.
By the way, Rise of Skywalker is currently sitting at an inexplicable 86% audience approval. I mean, what are we doing? That movie needs to be sent to the sun.
Here's a list of the full rankings, for those who want to see the rundown.
As for Acolyte, the dummies over at Disney deserve all of this. Every single bit of it. They're woke and they absolutely refuse to listen to the fans.
Nobody and I mean nobody was asking for the "gayest Star Wars yet." Not even gay people! But you gave it to us, and we hate it.
Oh well.
I like Solo. I also think Dryden Vos (played by Paul Bettany) is a very original and perfectly acted Bad Guy.
Worse than Attack of the Clones?
I agree that Attack of the Clones is not a great episode, but I like the young Obi Wan Kanobe (Ewan McGregor), plus some great action scenes fighting alien beasts.
Alas, the total absence of any well acted chemistry between Padme (Natalie Portman) and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), plus three deficient scripts, eventually doomed the entire Episode I-II-III series.
I thought the first Star Wars movie was really good. I saw it on opening night in the theater way back in ‘77. However, after the 2nd one I was all through with everything Star Wars. It was two and done for me.
Awesome, thanks for posting that list.
Even if that is the reason, that doesn’t make it any better. It still shows a civilization that is in decline, any which there is unlikely any way to return to a civil society. It will have to collapse completely and freedom will be lost on this planet.
I’m looking forward to the day when the pendulum swings back and woke stuff will be so last year. Thing is that woke stuff is so oppressive that violence may occur mainly from idiots trying CPR on it to keep it “alive.”
is “the force” a turkey baster?
“Star Wars is dead Jim.”
I wonder if they had ever seen sexy slave Princess Leia. Lucas knew what fans wanted. Action, heroes, bad guys, violence, and good to prevail over evil. I don’t know too many gay people but the few I do hate a ll this crap.
When I see Anakin in the Phantom Menace, I see every fan of that age (give or take a few years) who saw A New Hope for the first time.
The most intense fans wanted to be a starfighter pilot and were sure they had what it takes to be one. Little kids love to tinker and ride their bikes like it was an X-wing or P-51 or a real dirt bike. They wanted to be adults and were sure they could handle being a hero in the Star Wars universe. (Just me? Okay. I wondered. :-) )
Just explaining how I rationalize Anakin. :-)
Mee-sa no like Acolyte.
Not allow it for Gugans.
The “War of Imperial Aggression.”
You drain your swamp on Degoba and find another X wing
You bring a fishing pole to the Death Star’s garbage compactor
Someone else had to tell you who your father was
” CGI was the death of movie-making”
Amen. I LOVE old gore horror flicks that had to rely on all sorts of crazy real life special effects. The Thing. CHUD. Heck, even the old Star Trek. And who can top the feeling of 2001 and 2010 for sci fi? All the CgI is so clean and fake. No realism or effort.
It’s intentional. Their directors even stupidly brag about subversion. The best strategy is to deny them anything, even outrage. Just treat their insults with apathy and absolutely no money.
just when you think the star wars franchise has hit rock bottom it defies all odds, blasts right through the rock...and go even deeper! bravo! bravo!

Critical Drinker, Chris Gore, Nerdrotic, HeelsvBabyface, Doomcock, and whole host of others are all over this. Comparing it even to defiling the corpse of Star Wars.
Your x-wing had a built in spit cup.
