In the past couple of years I have noticed there is a complete lake of regard for other posters on this site. Not only that but swearing seems to be tolerated. In the past day I have been called gay, a lair, that I am talking out of my *** and I am full of ****. Do we even have to go into the fighting on any thread about Ukraine or Russia. Even hard facts from multiple sources no longer seem to matter. Instead it is whoever can come up with the snarkiest reply.
I do. Having my coffee on the patio, watching the “armada” of ducks glide by (now they have new babies — adorable!), and deer in the side yard. One of them had a baby last week. Sun is shining. đđ Cool breeze. Wind chimes making soft clanging.
It seems there are trolls on here who are ready to pick fights over the most banal, minor issues, just to pick fights. I often hesitate before I hit “post” wondering it there will be a personal attack including name calling (’you’re an idiot/moron for believing that).
I corresponded with two long term posters privately who are distressed at the constant attacks and are ready to leave this site.
Well, it is the "second childhood," or maybe the age when the answer to everything is "Get The Hell Off My Lawn!"

I don’t even know what would be considered a troll. I would think that on a website like this that you could have people who like Trump and people who don’t like Trump and people who like Desantis and people who don’t like Desantis, etc. But, there seems to be one view that’s acceptable here on every topic and the rest are not and you get called a troll if you don’t go along with the “right” opinion. The same goes for many of the COVID-related issues.
It’s not a civil place anymore.
