This just in: The Trump campaign has reportedly sent vetting materials to a small selection candidates in the running for Trump’s VP pick, formally asking them provide personal information in order to be considered as a potential running mate.
According to reports, vetting records have been requested from these 7 candidates:
North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) Dr. Ben Carson

I thought you couldn’t have the President and VP reside in the same state. What is the purpose of having Rubio and DeSantis mentioned as potential VP. Would they actually move out of Florida? (a la Dick Cheyney)
How do each of these candidates help Trump win?
Which states does he need help in?
Florida? NY? Ohio?
Carson could help deliver the black vote.
What impact would that have on swing states?
I think Ben Carson would be a good pick. He can tell Trump how The Swamp operates from the POV of an agency director that has served for some years.
I couldn’t trust Vance as VP after some of the horrible things he said about Trump.

I’m hoping that the absence of Vivek’s name means something more than what it might appear to mean.
I like Carson, but I don’t think he has the fight in him to go up against the swamp. I don’t like the rino contingency, that is Rubio, Stefanik, and I don’t know enough about the others to comment. I really dislike Stefanik. Her voting record stinks.
Let’s just hope that Trump can find a patriot to serve as veep who is someone who scares Deep State at least as much as Trump does.

IMHO, that would be Vivek. That’s why I like him. In the debates, he served as Proxy Trump. It was him against the establishment. He was saying everything President Trump says, and more. He thrives on pointing out these criminals. I loved hearing him.
He’s also an outsider, successful businessman, and he is intelligent, articulate, quick on his feet and fearless. I’d love to see him and Trump work together for 4 years, and then Vivek take the reins.
In 8 or 9 years he has never gone on any show to trash Trump. Not for Jan 6th, not for “Fine People” not for “stolen election’. He’s been a supporter of Trump through it all. A black man publicly supporting Trump through all the controversies when he could easily gain from it is the best example of loyalty we have.
Which ones help Trump the most in terms of getting votes?
Whoever Trump chooses, he needs to stay away from anyone in congress. We don’t need to chance loosing that seat to a democrat.
Don’t care which one as long as he is an attack dog for Trump.
I do love Ben Carson, I just don’t think he has the fight. He has the strength to not be bought, but having the fight is something different. Trump thrives on the battle. I don’t get the same vibes with Gentle Ben. I don’t say that as an insult - I’ve watched Ben Carson since I first saw him years ago on Christian tv, when he was saving so many lives as a surgeon. He’s a remarkable man. I can see him overseeing a massive cleaning up/revamping of the run-down cities....and the Opportunity Zones. I think that is Carson’s strength rather than constantly facing a barrage of attacks and distractions. He was always very good at working away in the background, getting things done.
How much time has Trump actually primarily lived in FL over the last couple of months. It's my understanding that Trump has either been in NY or NJ. And he could continue to do that thru November.
