Yeah, I had to look it up- it’s actually some sort of dessert, lol. It actually sounds good, once you get past the name!

Russians... have this thing about all things corn related. To them, corn is only used as pig feed, and never for human consumption.

Same with Italians, and people from many world areas who do not have access to our fat, juicy American hybrid corn suitable for on-the-cob or canned kernels consumption. They are used to seeing their scrawny and tough antique corn varieties fed only to animals.

Palmetto Farms. Aynor SC. You can order online if you can’t find them in a store near you. The best.

A while back we were having grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner and I noticed that the cheese was not melted !!! I started to investigate and found that it was “No Melt cheese” after inspecting the package...

I said “That’s why you use Velveeta.” And read the package carefully if you are buying those wrapped slices.

Unless You want to go Gourmet and use a mix of different cheeses like Gouda, Brie, Swiss and if one likes, a smattering of a good Blue Cheese for a bit of zing.

What the }{€££ does anyone want no melt cheese for ?!?!?!

Maybe if you’re making a sandwich commercial about a crappy ingredients sandwich.

Slices of extra sharp Cheddar is how I love my grilled cheese.

And that’s very good question: “What the }{€££ does anyone want no melt cheese for ?!?!?!”

Not a Velveeta fan, but my friend used to make “Cheesy Potatoes” with it, and it was delicious.

It is possible to make K-So with cheddar but it is a bit of work. Start by making a Blonde Roux with flour, butter and milk or cream and then add shredded cheddar and a dash of salt. Then add the Peppers of your choice. If you want to go whole hog toss in some diced Roma tomatoes, onion, garlic, jalapeño, Cilantro or use those ingredients to make pico de gallo and serve it as a side dish.

I prefer to make Interior Mexican Queso with white Goat cheese or Velveeta Blanco, sweet onion, Roma tomatoes, garlic, roasted peeled and seeded Pablano peppers served with warm corn tortillas. If it’s just Me eating it I toss in a few Chilies Pequin for some zing.

Got a box of fancy German Chocolates the other day.

Technically it was not horrible. But it was nothing but sugar. No real flavor beyond dreadfully sweet.

Whitman Chocolate Sampler is better and it is not that great.

When I was a youngster, I discovered a bushy small tree on a stream bank in the woods behind our home, with some yellow-orange roots exposed. I picked at one, and it smelled like...ROOT BEER! Sudden enlightenment...

Used to break a few small pieces off, rinse them in the stream and chew them.

My grandma used to say you, “can kiss my grits.”

Never understood that one.

She made excellent grits, sausage gravy and biscuits.

When my dad took us fishing for crappie and bream, we always had lunch of Vienna sausages or Beanie Weenies, saltines, and ice cold Pepsi. Sometimes there might be a quick sandwich of potted meat on white bread. We thought it was delicious.

*** Gambini: Well perhaps the laws of physics cease to exist on your stove! Were these magic grits? I mean, did you buy them from the same guy who sold Jack his beanstalk beans?!***
