I can’t imagine the GOPe would allow that to happen. I’d be willing to bet they’re quietly scheming right now to find a way to pull a switcheroo at the convention, nominating someone like “Nikki” “Haley” in his place . . . for the good of the country and the party, of course.

The point of all of this is to convince the Demo base (i.e., the 30M with IQ < 85) that being a felon means you cannot be a candidate for Pres.
Which is total Bs, of course. But, consider the audience.
A response for DJT is that “At least, I am not a pedo and did not try and seduce my own daughter.”
The Demos, by creating the “felon” label, have made this personal. The gloves need to come off. This needs to become a close-order knife fight — ‘cause the US is worth fighting for.

You don’t need to have Trump at the convention to declare him the nominee. If he’s in jail, that will underscore the Dems treason and bring a lot of pressure on the Supreme Court to reverse the verdict before the election.
