During Pride Month, we celebrate the extraordinary courage and contributions of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) community. We reflect on the progress we have made so far in pursuit of equality, justice, and inclusion. We recommit ourselves to do more to support LGBTQI+ rights at home and around the world.
To the entire LGBTQI+ community — and especially transgender children — please know that your President and my entire Administration have your back. We see you for who you are: made in the image of God and deserving of dignity, respect, and support.
America is the only Nation in the world founded on an idea: We are all created equal and deserve to be treated equally throughout our lives. We have never fully lived up to that idea, but we have never fully walked away from it either. This month, we recommit to realizing the promise of America for all Americans, to celebrating courageous LGBTQI+ people, and to taking pride in the example they set for our Nation and the world.

June is Serbian-American Heritage Month!!
It begins on June 1 with the commemoration of The Venerable Justin of Ćelije (aka Justin Popović; in Cyrillic Serbian, Јустин Поповић) (1894-1979).
https://orthodoxwiki.org/Justin_Popovich
St. Justin was a prominent 20th century theologian, “a champion, a writer, a critic of the pragmatic church life, a philosopher, and archimandrite of the Monastery Ćelije, near Valjevo, Serbia.”
“Saint Justin of Ćelije fell asleep in the Lord on March 25, 1979, on his birthday, the Feast of the Annunciation (April 7 by the New Calendar).”
Apolytikion
Let us honor with splendor the divinely inspired theologian, the wise Serb Justin, who by the scythe of the Holy Spirit hath thrashed the error of atheism and the insolence of the Latins, being a mystic of the God-man and lover of piety, crying out: Glory to Christ Who hath glorified thee, glory to Him Who hath crowned thee, glory to Him Who hath rendered thee a luminary to those who are in a state of darkness.
Kontakion
We proclaim to the faithful the inexhaustible fount conveying the Orthodox doctrines, and an angel-like man full of divine zeal, the divine Justin, the offspring of the Serbs, who by his sound teachings and writings hath strengthened the faith of all in the Lord.
June 1 is also the commemoration of the original St. Justin, The Holy Martyr Justin the Philosopher.
Troparion
You emptied the cup of the wisdom of the Greeks, / but you thirsted again, until you came to the well where you found water springing unto eternal life.1 / And having drunk deeply, you also drank from the cup2 which Christ gave to His disciples. / Therefore, O Justin, / we praise you as a Philosopher and Martyr of Christ.
1 John 4:14.
2 Mark 10:39.
Troparion — Tone 4
Podoben:
O Justin, teacher of divine knowledge, / you shone with the radiance of true philosophy. / You were wisely armed against the Enemy. / Confessing the truth, you contested with the Martyrs, / with them, O Justin, always entreat Christ to save our souls.
I don’t celebrate. It isn’t my culture.
I celebrate the Sacred Heart in June. That is MY culture.
By the way:
“Pride (superbia), also known as hubris (from Ancient Greek ὕβρις) or futility. It is considered the original and worst of the seven deadly sins on almost every list, the most demonic. It is also thought to be the source of the other capital sins. Pride is the opposite of humility.”
All of these groups have organized, sacrificed, and fought for their equal rights.

Oh yeah…I don’t watch much TV and that’s why. They shove all that woke crap at everyone.
I occasionally like to watch old 60s and 70s TV shows. They were better-written and better-acted anyway.
