Honda Ridgeline.
Can we count the truck-cars? El Camino Real, Ford Ranchero? Worst of both worlds.
Not every one needs an F250 4X4 diesel.
My wife and I are very happy with our Nissan Frontier.
My El Camino turns 50 years old this year. I get compliments ever time I drive it.
A Ridgeline is a perfect vehicle if you don’t need a “real” truck.
Just El Camino, no Real. I always sort of liked them, though I never owned one.
Once I saw a mid-to-late-60s Cadillac flower car that I’d have loved to own.
“El Camino Real, Ford Ranchero? Worst of both worlds.”
Ya beat me to it!
I turned 16 when my Dad had a company car from the machine shop he was vp at. It was a gold 1972 ford ranchero gt. it had the automatic, and I always volunteered to run errands with it. it was an automatic, but it hauled butt at around 7mpg or so. The shop bought the gas. It was a great beach car. My dad’s personal car was a white 1970 buick wildcat convertible. I loved the 455 but hated the black interior, because in florida it would cook you in the summer. he replaced it with a gold 73 buick riveria with the 455 about 6mpg. He let me borrow it for prom night. great cars... wish i had any one of them.
I drive a 12 year old Honda Ridgeline. I bought it used a few years ago. It gets terrible gas mileage, but tows my utility and boat trailers without any problem and it is almost impossible to get it stuck in the mud.
or the Pontica LeMans Safari
Actually they were a big hit and are now quite collectible, for some reason. 🤣
Had a ‘64 Ranchero. Great
little truck that had some
looks, got good gas milelage,
was easy to drive and
mauntain. It also was ok
for carrying small loads.
Not one complaint as to what
it was designed for.
Ranchero’s and El Camino’s
were never designed to
compete with full sized
pickups.
“Honda Ridgeline.”
My Ridgeline has 160,000 miles on it and I have pulled out a dozen ‘real pickups’ that were stranded in snow.
I press a small button and lock the differential’s — it’s unstoppable in the snow.
It also gets more MPG than my previous 4 cylinder Honda.
It’s comfortable and reliable.
Pity Honda is stopping the manufacture of their lawn equipment in the US of A, I just purchased a new hydrostatic drive Honda mower to replace a similar 26 year old Honda mower — It still works well but will eventually die so I got a new one because this is the last chance to replace it.
Go Honda!
I have a 2010 F150 FX4 and a 2009 Honda Ridgeline.
Both are decent, and I use them differently.
