Decaf is oxymoronic, anyway.
Methylene chloride is a pretty useful solvent, but you can’t buy it because it was banned. The EPA said. “Long-term health effects include a variety of cancers, including liver cancer and lung cancer, and damage to the nervous, immune and reproductive systems”.
So, yeah. Decaf is terrible. If you can’t handle caffiene, just drink water.
Decaf coffee sounds like sex without nerve endings.
Oh, is this an even numbered week so that science has again proven that coffee is bad for you? I guess next week it will be again proven that it is good for you. Trust the science!

I think there’s a secret wheel hidden in some university somewhere. Whenever a scientist decides to study something, he must first spin the wheel. That will give the direction his research must take.
As a side note, it’s a shame “Very Bad” came up for Climate Change. Billions will be wasted as a result.
I might suggest to get a similar experience with a third of the caffeine drink black or green tea?
Seriously, I don’t even understand the point of decaf coffee. It’s like nicotine-free tobacco. Or sugar-free Sugar Babies. If you’re going to do something, then do it. Don’t go through the motions with some neutered substitute.
I’m a coffee drinker, but I’d be lying if I said that coffee tastes that great. It’s the pick-me-up and/or pain relief properties of caffeine that make it worthwhile. You take that part out of the equation, then why bother?
So you can get a good night’s sleep.
Methylene chloride has a boiling point of about 40 degrees C (about 103 degrees Fahrenheit) - a drop of it on a counter would boil away on a hot day, and since it has a really high vapor pressure at any ambient temperature, it readily evaporates. That’s not to say you can be sure there’s not a single molecule of the stuff in your decaf crystals, but the chances of any substantial quantities of it present are pretty small. Even with carcinogens, the dose makes the poison; it’s not something I’d lose any sleep over.
I’m with ya’ except I even like the taste, so added bonus for me.
Nothing is good for your health is sufficient quantities, what those quantities might be is difficult to determine.

“There’s more methylene chloride in the water that you brew your decaf with than came with the decaf roasted beans,” said James Coughlin, a food toxicology expert who consults with the coffee industry. He also called the effort to ban methylene chloride “ill-conceived.”
Coffee industry experts have also said that other decaffeination methods are less effective, more expensive, and result in lower-quality coffee.
Despite the high volatility of methylene chloride and its miniscule concentration in the decaf coffee (most likely, just trace amounts), consuming it for a long time may have unpredictable consequences, as all chlorinated hydrocarbons are teratogenic. On the other hand, use of liquid carbon dioxide for caffeine extraction from coffee beans under pressure should be totally safe, as it becomes a gas under normal pressure. It is also widely used in all carbonated drinks and no one has ever claimed that they are detrimental to the public health (sugar-yes, carbon dioxide - no).

Coffee does taste great which is one reason I drink it, but I have to say that the decaf process also takes out a lot of flavor. Even high end stuff is like meh.
If I have caffeine after noon it ruins my sleep. Decaf fills a void.
