A “plus-size” travel influencer claimed a Washington airport worker refused to push her in a wheelchair up the jet bridge because of her size, which left her gasping for air when she was forced to walk off the plane.
Jae’lynn Chaney, 27, revealed on TikTok that she requested “wheelchair assistance” during her trip to Sea-Tac International Airport in Washington.
“I’m a plus-size wheelchair user and on a recent flight to the Sea-Tac airport, I requested wheelchair assistance, as I always do,” a narrator said on Chaney’s post. “When it came time for me to deplane, I saw the employee who would be assisting me with my wheelchair waiting for me in the entry of the jet bridge.”
The influencer, who has amassed over 135,500 followers on the platform, claimed the employee started walking away from the plane when she saw the traveler deboard the plane.
“As I approached her and she realized she’d be assisting me and not one of the smaller passengers she started to walk away with the wheelchair while making comments about my size,” Chaney claimed.
Chaney, who can walk, allegedly told the employee she needed the chair but was “blatantly ignored,” forcing her to walk up “one of the longest jet bridges I’ve encountered.”
The long walk took a lot of energy out of the influencer, and she claimed she nearly fainted.
“By the time she let me reach the wheelchair and sit down my lips were white, my oxygen levels had dropped, and I almost fainted,” Chaney recalled.

100 years ago she would have been in a carnival and people would pay $.05 to see her.
Now you can just go to Walmart for free!
Progress!
“Exactly, and she needs to stop eating junk food, stop feeling sorry for herself and start eating healthier.”
Let’s not jump to conclusions here. I don’t know what she does or does not eat. I don’t follow her on Tic Tok because I don’t use that platform.
A lot of people who are over weight are so not because of food but other factors. One of which is health related. Remember Mama Cass? Hers was thyroid and actually she did try to died to the point that it made her health worse. (I liked her and read up on her) Point being some health issues a person just can’t win.
The other is medication. Ever heard of prednisone? That drug is a classic example of a drug that can make a person plus size in a matter of months. It’s a life saving drug but it works with a vengeance. I could name you about 10 other popular drugs that do the same thing.
Here is a quick list I pulled from google:
Insulin
Antipsychotics
Some beta blockers like metoprolol
Antidepressants
Antihistamines
Corticosteroids
Antiepileptics
Anticonvulsant
Antidiabetics
Contraceptives
Hormones
Antidepressant
Topiramate
Those are just the usual suspect too.
These days? I suspect processed foods are making a lot of people overweight. In days passed our mom’s made us home cooked meals and we did not gain this much weight. Now more and more are eating processed foods and are less healthy and have more weight.
Maybe if this morbidly overweight person tried to walk, she’d lose some of that weight. Does she have a death wish?
135,000 followers and she will get 25 likes on her posts! lol
Or Mt. Ranier.
Soon she’ll need a Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane
The numbers of those who are seriously overweight for genetic is actually quite small. The vast majority are due to lifestyle & diet.
typo - left out a word
genetic = genetic reasons
and who woudl be responsible if the person pushing her has a heart attack and dies?
This morning I tweeked my back using a handtruck to lift the rear end of a 400 # mower so I could change a tire. I sympathize with that airport worker.
“I realize she may have medical problems that cause her to be overweight but walking is the best exercise.”
I’ve never seen a single fat, much less obese, person in pictures of concentration camp survivors.
Eating less is 100% effective for losing weight. Her medical problem is lack of self control, no shame and a sense of entitlement - she’s repulsive inside and out.
I’d actually have some sympathy if she made a meaningful effort to fix her problem, instead all she does is bitch about others not treating her like a queen!
Post a flash flood warning if she ever jumps in your swimming pool!
I heard an extremely plus-sized woman on the cell phone in a Walmart parking lot arranging to have an electric cart brought out to her. The conversation went something like, “And I want a full charge this time and not that slow muthufuka. I know you got a good one in there and I want that one.” As I passed the harassed looking boy riding it out to her, I said, “Sounds like she won’t be happy no matter what.” He said, “Yeah, tell me about it. She’s in here every week.” How entitled must someone feel to be so demanding for a free courtesy?
“I’ve never seen a single fat, much less obese, person in pictures of concentration camp survivors.”
Like I said in another comment about Mama Cass? If that person was like Mama Cass in a concentration camp? They would have died and that is why you would not have seen them. Thyroid is no joke.
Jae’lynn is sooo fat, when she fell and broke her leg, gravy ran out.
Note to the morbidly obese woman complaining about being advised to buy two seats...
I have a 34 inch inseam and two bad knees.
You know how I solved the problem...
I drive.
how does this happen to a 27 year old? she has not been on the planet long enough to be this damn fat.
I have flown a lot till about 6 years ago.
On a return from Europe, we flew out of Mulhouse to De Galle. Our flight was late because of fog in Mulhouse, which is on the Rhine We were put on a flight from DeGalle about 3 hours later because we missed our flight. Not so bad.
I got on the plane and our seats were separate. I took the seat on the aisle last row. No reclining. Every seat
filled up except the one in front of me. No one boarded for over 5 minutes. Then a guy filled the aisle about 350 pounds or more.
Of course he sat in the seat in front of me. And scrunched next to the guy in the middle seat next to him. Without adjusting his seat it moved back and was almost in my lap. The flight was going to be 9 hours to SF where we caught a local to San Diego.
I asked the attendant can i fly in the flight seat where they fly. Not allowed but it was allowed for me to sit with the sweaty fat guy in my lap. I wrote to the airlines, but no reply and the only solution i was given get on a later flight.
