… Bx, a Twitter libertarian and “independent investigator,” recently tweeted about a first date she went on that almost ended in disaster. Or as she wrote, “Last night I was on a first date and at the end of the night he opened my car door for me and my holstered gun fell out of my new purse and hit the road and my Shield Arms mag exploded and sent 9mm ammo flying everywhere, and then we spent the next 15 minutes trying to find all the ammo and the mag spring. Am I getting a second date?”
She added, “Please no judge on the purse carry, I normally carry appendix but I was wearing a dress. Actually, judge me idgaf.” Concerningly, she claims to be a firearms instructor.
Some simps gently ribbed her for dropping a literal gun, joking that she should go to a gun-safety class for her second date, but most were quick to reassure her that it was fine and that “any carry is better than none.”
Many, including Bx herself, were shocked at how the gun fell apart, with Bx telling her followers that she and her date got into her car to examine the gun and try to understand what happened. She explained, “The mag didn’t come out of the gun, there is a mark from where the base plate hit the asphalt right on the pin. I think it just hit at the perfect angle.”
How reassuring!
No word from Bx on whether or not her date is up for round two, although some followers argued that if he was willing to stick around and try to investigate what happened rather than run away as soon as a gun fell out her purse, he’s probably interested in a second date.

Marry her and give her a better firearm as a wedding present, then bang her at Gunsight training facility on the honeymoon.
You could go see a gunsmithologist for your problem.
How does your gun just fall out of your purse? Does it unzip on the side or bottom and she left it open? Was she digging around and somehow didn’t notice she’s pushing her pistol up over the side?
The only way I see this actually happening is if she dropped it on purpose, just so she could write an article about her date freaking out she had it.
LEO story:
Cop getting out of his cruiser to chase a suspect banged the butt of the Glock against the car and the impact broke the magazine’s baseplate sending the spring and cartridges flying. He was of course carrying 2 spare mags. His emergency reload on the run was no problem. Suspect was apprehended with no injuries.
Makes a great conversation starter!
She got her shot off too early.
spent 15 minutes looking
Bent over, short dress, pendulous cleavage, who is actually looking for ammunition? Surely.
After 50 years of plinking Semis And Revolvers All may ‘Fails’ have been with

I’ll not waste time schooling

A wheel Gun.
I would be concerned if she explained she was a widow because her husband died from an accidental gunshot.
;-)
You obviously don’t know how a revolver is more reliable than Semiautomatics.
The Mag in this story is a good example.
Bringing a gun on a date is not a deal breaker for me. I would have one also. Dropping it is of some concern.
Second date?
Unlikely ... too irresponsible.
I've never had my Glock fail. I do have a revolver that has failed. That aside, any revolver above a .22 gives you five or six rounds to neutralize any threats. After that, you're out of the fight and you'll never reload before the fight is over. With my Glock 23 I have 14 opportunities to neutralize any threats. And I can swap out magazines in a second or two and remain in the fight. There's a reason why no law enforcement agency nor the military issues a revolver. They are completely inadequate in today's dangerous environment.
Have you ever heard Dan Aykroyd’s and Jim Belushi ‘s cover of Polk salad Annie? It’s really good!
Okay Rambo....
How many Fire Fights You been in?
Most All Exchanges are 2-3 shots Fired.
.
All due Respect If you were “in The Shit.”
Mega dittos. 👍
Very deadly area... no doubt.
Well - ya got a point
I'm not preparing for the average shootout, I'm preparing for almost any eventuality. I'd rather have too many rounds and not need them than have too few rounds and need more. Nothing Rambo about that.
I’m with you on that...
If I’m on a trip I’ll have 3 tools....
I call it my Jersy Reload.
Two Wheel guns and a semi rifle.
I’m more of a Barney Fife.
