Jimmy Carter's grandson has revealed the 99-year-old former president is 'coming to the end'.
The Georgia peanut farmer and oldest living president has been in hospice care for more than a year after deciding to forego any further medical treatment.
Since then his beloved wife Rosalynn has passed away and he has been living at home with regular visits from his family.
Jason Carter said at a mental health forum on Tuesday: '(My grandfather) is doing OK.
'He has been in hospice, as you know, for almost a year and a half now, and he really is, I think, coming to the end that, as I’ve said before, there’s a part of this faith journey that is so important to him, and there’s a part of that faith journey that you only can live at the very end and I think he has been there in that space.'

This does not affect me at all… Jimmy Carter, while kind and gentle, helped usher in lot of what we’re seeing today. I don’t like the man, his family was trash and and he never apologized for the stupid Iranian shit he did. Good riddance to a democrat

I disagree with Carter on most issues. I think he’s misguided. But, he loves America. He’s a true patriot who would lay down his life of for this country. He served in the USN with honor.
What a contrast to today’s Dems, who hate America to the cores of their coal black souls and are eagerly fighting to facilitate her downfall.
I hope his end is peaceful and painless and that he spends eternity in the presence of the Lord.
The farther out from being president, the less protection you receive. My guess is there are probably a couple agents just to verify who is seeing him. I interacted with Ford long after he was president. He only had two agents assigned, and they were just body guards.

Nixon and Kennedy were better than LBJ, and Reagan was better than all three.
Beyond that, it depends how you define worst. He’s the sort of person who is smart enough to rob banks because that is where the money is, but only if you can get away with it and don’t seem to screw up other people’s lives in the medium term.
He knew enough that when one is stealing milk you don’t shoot or even starve the cow, and that you treat the cow right if you want to keep the milk coming.
After Reagan, I’m confident that Trump and Clinton knew this theoretically, but do not think that Clinton cared.
Carter had more of a conscience, but less of an ability to execute.

I thought they had to be near him 24 hours. They rent facilties near potus homes. I can’t recall any presidents in nursing homes although biden should be in one.
Even Ford in retrospect, despite John Paul Stevens, was probably better than Carter.
