It seems no one is safe on the streets of the Big Apple these days – not even beloved hometown actor and Brooklyn native Steve Buscemi.
Buscemi, 66, was strolling through Kips Bay last week when a brute walked up and struck the “Boardwalk Empire” star in a broad-daylight attack – one of the latest unprovoked assaults in the five boroughs, law enforcement sources told The Post.
The actor suffered swelling to his face and left eye and was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, his deranged assailant took off and is still on the lam, police sources said.

“I bectha’ ole’ Stevie boy votes a straight democrat ticket too.
So, too bad if you’ve voted for this suck Stevie.”
It must be nice to walk through life without a thought in your mind. It is clear you know very little about this man.
True, he was a firefighter from 1980 - 1984, and again on 9/11.
Yeah, a little confusing then isn’t it?
Check out #11 on this thread... Maybe you’re the one who knows very little?
Early in his life, he was a NYC firefighter before becoming famous as an actor. After 9/11, he volunteered to assist his old fire department in finding bodies of killed firefighters.
A really solid guy.
He was out of his element.
Weird I’ve never seen any of those movies or shows except maybe a few episodes of Sopranos, but I recognize and know who Steve Buscemi is because of his bulging eyes.
Mr. Pink is a Biden supporter.
He’s been in tons of stuff. What you’d call a “character actor.”
Oh great
Another wholly sympathetic snark thread lol
And here it is a beautiful day.
What does that mean?
There HAVE been movies made since 1965.
I don’t know his politics, but he’s always been one of my favorite actors.
Buscemi is kind of funny-looking.
That may be job security. The left are what they say conservatives are: intolerant.
He was also in “The Island” 🏖 🏝 with Ewan MacGregor and Scarlett Johansson.
He is a very memorable, and good, method actor. He was frequently used in all the Cohen Brothers movies.
