Nothing much to say. Dementia’s always very sad and hard for everyone involved.

Incredibly sad. It's a reminder of how fragile and fleeting our lives truly are. Every day and every moment are precious - and speaking for myself too many moments go by without being fully embraced, appreciated, and savored.
The Beach Boys were emblematic of youth. We all get older. Brian has too.
Happy Mother's Day to all FReeper mothers. I hope your children cherish you and realize that they won't always be able to be with you on this day.

Brian Wilson has had competency issues for a good 40 years. He was the object of court matters regarding being exploited and manipulated through drugs, both licit and illicit, even then. No doubt he has been demented for decades. Surprised he has even survived this long.

Never really cared that much about their music. Thought “The Sloop John B” was a good tune

I was never a huge Beach Boys fan. They did one or two pretty good things but that's about it. I did buy "Pet Sounds" on DVD-Audio but I've never listened to it.
IMO they were mainly a Kalifornia thing.Maybe that's why I've never paid any attention to them.
