I was never a huge Beach Boys fan.They did one or two pretty good things but that's about it. I did buy "Pet Sounds" on DVD-Audio but I've never listened to it.

IMO they were mainly a Kalifornia thing.Maybe that's why I've never paid any attention to them.

Growing up, I was a Beatle fan and considered the Beach Boys more like teeny bopper bubble gum music.

“Pet Sounds” was saved by The Wrecking Crew but more so Tony Asher writing the lyrics with a more adult, mature theme.

I do have a CDR mono master copied direct from the master tape from a friend who re-mastered “Pet Sounds” - sound quality is far superior to the commercial pressing.
