What I can explain to you is — is that there is famine — full-blown famine — in the north, and it's moving its way south," she said.
Since mid-March, the United Nations has said famine is "imminent" in Gaza, but has not yet officially stated that it believes famine has struck the state.
In April, Samantha Power, the director of the U.S. Agency for International Development became the first U.S. official to say that it was credible to assess that famine is occurring in portions of Gaza. No other U.S. official has made that assessment.
McCain said that while there has not yet been an official declaration of famine, based on what her organization has seen and experienced on the ground, she believes there is a "full-blown" issue in Gaza.
"It’s horror. It's – You know, it's so hard to look at and it's so hard to hear, also," McCain said in her interview.

Maybe the terrorists should stop stealing everything you stupidly give them
Great!
When the Jews left in 2005 there were vine yards and many hot houses with food. Hamas destroyed it all. Starve for all I care.
Gazans elected Hamas to run the government by a landslide. They supported the Hamas war of terror against Israel. Reaping what they sow IMO.
I will say, Ms. McCain was over in Rawanda during some rough and scary times. Me, I was sitting on my ass in a sports bar or in front of my TV. She’s done more than me to make the world a better place (which wouldn’t have to be much), but she kind of talked the talk and walked the walk with some of her trips to Africa.
If Megan stopped eating so much, think of all that food saved that we could send over there.
I don’t believe it. This sounds like political propaganda. It’s what these agencies do, find issues to complain about. If there were no problems they wouldn’t exist so they always find problems or just make them up. There are numerous pita bread factories running including one in the north that makes 650,000 loafs a day, plus two more in central Gaza. It’s not that far a drive.
If Hamas is still stealing food and other aid, blame it on them.
If is kind of crazy that Gaza starts a war against the country that imports all their food, water, electricity, gas, medical supplies, telecommunications etc and then complains about disruptions in service caused by the war.
Except for the videos showing them at restaurants. 😆
If we give them money for food that will just allow them to buy more arms.
FAFO applies to groups as well as individuals.
Cindy, you had your shot at the brass ring, and you lost. Take your ill-gotten millions and go away.
McCain is a bald faced liar just like her dead husband.
Kind of like the Colombia protestors complaining they need to be brought food and water.
That whole part of the world will will suffer from famine. The dry climate does not produce sufficient food for the area.
Many African Countries are producing very little food crops since socialism has been voted in, especially S.A. and Zim.
Not a US problem.... We got enough shxt to deal with here.
Lot of agriculture by Jews in Gaza prior to 2005, including high value exports. Tomatoes, herbs, geraniums, and 1000 acres of greenhouses raising organic and insect-free vegetables. Thousands of Muslim employees. All quickly destroyed when Jews were expelled.
BTW, Donald Trump donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Jews expelled from Gaza in 2005.
So the pier we’re building to deliver food aid will fix that? They don’t think it’ll make Hamas a little after while their shields are getting thinner? /s
Cindi is the wife, not the daughter.
Starting a war is not always a good idea
If Cindy McCain says it, you can be certain it is to benefit America's enemies.
Exactly! It is like they think if they never talk about how this actually started, then it didn't really happen. It happened. I have absolutely no sympathy for these people. When they stop behaving like animals, let me know.
McCain can spend her money any way she wishes.
She is not a person whose word I would EVER trust.
