Tom Selleck may have warned CBS earlier this year that there are an “awful lot of people” who aren’t ready to say goodbye to Blue Bloods, but there are no plans to extend the police procedural beyond its 14th and final season.
During a press conference Thursday to discuss the fall schedule, Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach conceded that while they will miss the series at CBS, the drama will still wrap after the second half airs this fall.
The first half of Blue Bloods‘ 14th season kicked off February 16. The second half of the season will return in October.

I suspect the producers were going for a character like Andy Sipowicz from “NYPD Blue”. If so, they failed miserably. The scripts aside, Donnie Wahlberg is no Dennis Franz.
I'm a big fan of nostalgia channels on YouTube. One of these posts a lot of old t.v. commercials from the 60's and 70's. They really are a breath of fresh air away from the current suffocating culture. Tom Selleck did surprisingly a LOT of product commercials in the 70's before he made it big. Fun to watch.
The networks have been radically altering how the schedule their shows since streaming and cord-cutting began.
The whole concept of "seasons" is over. Networks have been moving to 10 episode "seasons" now. Both "Young Sheldon" and "Ghosts" ran only 10 episode seasons this year, and Blue Bloods' 18-episode final season is being split in half, with 5-months between both halves, effectively splitting the show into two "seasons."

The character moved to California after college.

Blue Bloods is the only network show worth watching.
I think you are referring to episodes where Detective Danny Reagan expresses sympathy for people who commit crime...Trying to "understand" why the other person committed a crime...I do not think that happened in every episode however...
As a rule, Danny Reagan only expressed sympathy for a criminal when the criminal was performing a public service by removing an even bigger criminal from the gene pool.
The new Star Trek: Strange New Worlds show is 10 episodes.
Most streaming shows are 10 episodes: Bosch, Jack Ryan, The Night Agent, etc.

You can still act without speaking. Selleck just doesn’t have a very wide breadth of expression, whether speaking or not.
I'm complaining about the fact they always bash Catholics, especially the ones when they outright said Catholics are the bad guys, and Muslims are the victims. I know they think they like Catholics, but they bash them pretty good.
The ones were they really defend woke activists, including the fact that someone who faked a hate crime really was the good person.
The one saying drag queens are saints, and in general that LGBT people are always right/saints.
The fact that the daughter pretty much is proud to have a double standard about prosecuting women an men. The writers have been terrible, with her character becoming virtually insane. It's not necessarily political, but they have her contradict everything she has said earlier.
She tells her brothers she can't help them with prosecutions, because she follows the law, but once it's something she's into she does even more than she told them she can't do.
In a recent one, she was so angry because the feds were pressuring a witness to testify when they were threatened. This despite a long history of doing the same thing and worse. In fact, she had done it with the detective who works for her's daughter. But she acted like it was a line she would never cross. I think the writers have given up.
Did Tom ever come out as Pro-Trump like Roseanne did?
I suspect if he had then he would have gotten the Roseanne treatment.
I disagree that it has gone totally ‘woke’. They have recently steered to the middle for a bit but soon returned to sanity. When they did, it was very situation dependent requiring a close look at both sides of a case.
On the lighter side I hope Danny and Jackie get together. Jennifer Esposito is such a fox!
He deserves a rest after a long and wonderful career.
Do you remember the episode where a devout Catholic girl is murdered, and it turns out she was taking Arabic, had a Muslim boyfriend, and reverted to Islam. They take great pains to say that it is reverting. It turns out her father killed her because she converted. Basically the point is, that honor killing is among Catholics, but Muslims are all benevolent.
I don't know, the whole, Catholics are evil, Muslims and LGBT are saints thing is a little overdone. And the male pedophiles are bad, but female pedophiles just have a condition thing.
My husband watched it all the time. I would watch it occasionally but I couldn’t take the hollering that the Chief always did with his “vice” whatever - Garrett? I always liked Tom Selleck but that role ruined “Las Vegas” for me and also that New England sheriff show he did - “Jesse Stone.” He didn’t wear as well as James Garner did in “Rockford Files” but James Garner didn’t have as many shows on TV either. Mark Wahlberg built his career from Blue Bloods, didn’t he? He was great in “The Shooter.” Great book too!
Erin’s daughter took a job in California. It’s hard to commute from California to New York for weekly dinners.
Sorry - not Mark Wahlberg - Donny Wahlberg. Well, still, Mark Wahlberg was good in “The Shooter.” I guess it’s Donny who has the crime stories on TV.
I do like Detective Danny Reagan character...
NYPD BLUES...I do remember that the show once had a scene where Detective Andy S showed his butt in the shower scene...
