Prediction: Tulsi Gabbard will be the GOP Vice Presidential Nominee
FR ^ | May 2 | RF

Posted on 05/02/2024 9:46:34 AM PDT by RandFan

I'm making a bold prediction today she's got this based on the following evidence:

She's on the list

Donald Trump Shortlist: Tulsi Gabbard's VP Chances Soar

"Tulsi Gabbard's odds of becoming the 2024 Republican vice-presidential candidate surged with a leading bookmaker after Donald Trump said she was on his short list during a Fox News town hall on Tuesday".

She wants it

Tulsi Gabbard ready to ‘serve my country’ as Trump’s vice president if asked

“If that call came, I would say yes, and I'd be honored to serve my country in that way and to be in a position, first, to help win this election, to stop the Democratic elite from destroying our country, and then actually begin the real work of getting our country back on track,” Gabbard said.

“And that starts with having people of courage in our government who care more about the country than they do about the political elite in Washington."

Betting odds reflect her growing chances

She was 35/1 earlier this year now she is 7/1 2nd FAVORITE in the betting to be the GOP Vice Presidential nominee.

For someone who isnt even a Republican to be 2nd Favorite for the nomination is unprecedented.

Her rivals are unimpressive

Noem, Tim Scott, etc. all look lightweights to me so that leaves JD Vance and I'm not sure Trump will pick a freshman senator

So that leads me to conclude that Tulsi Gabbard has this!!

Interesting...

Mark this thread because I have immediately placed $25 on her at 7/1 and will be donating the winnings (175 bucks) to FR if she is chosen by Donald Trump.

I'm confident enough for a small wager anyway!

Who agrees with me that it'll be her? And who's excited by this possibility?

> I believe she has had a transformation similar to what Ronald Reagan went through, and what David Horowitz went through

We won't know if she has actually changed politically for at least another five years, hard pass until then.

Trump has previously stated that he did not believe a VP selection had the weight to give him a state that he wasn’t already going to get.

A solid female VP would go miles in helping with the momentum he is beginning to build with the “woman” vote.

And Pence, Johnson, etc. were MAGA to the core? I mean you can pick a GOPer and they can turn out lousy

Just saying..

Maybe Trump is thinking outside the box

yeah, I don’t like either one of them and have never been a big fan of women in leadership because they often seem to sell their souls to the leftist bleeding heart god. same for women in the pulpit; it’s a no go.

the VP doesn’t do much so if she helps Trump get some more votes I’m all for it.

Yeah except for that whole "becomes president if the president dies" part. NO THANKS.

I also predict it will be Tulsi. A women of color and she left the Democratic Party.

My Derby pick is Fierceness. He's a Thoroughbred, but he has
Johnny V in the saddle.

i wonder if Desantis saw the light and made peace with Trump... still not enough to garner the VP spot...

dan quayle? no. everyone i would consider would not be a totally committed MAGA member...

all would be subject to blackmail and submission to the deepstate.

except maybe rand paul

What will work against her is her family belonged to a cult in Lanikai, Oahu. I am not sure how involved she was , but thats a mark against her. She would get the female vote as she is perceived as an independent. I don’t know her stance on the second amendment. The most important thing is to remove this current administration, or our country will fall.

His is ineligible to be president because he was born in South Africa.

Huh? are you suggesting that have a leftist, albeit one of the saner ones, to an octogenarian president as VP could upset the conservative base? /s

Hawaii is the most liberal state in the Union, I think she left because she honestly felt she could no longer represent them because he views don’t match theirs’

Has she ever stated anything like that? At all? More likely she wanted to distance herself from the last pResident from (haha!) Hawaii in order to appear "centrist."
