Prediction: Tulsi Gabbard will be the GOP Vice Presidential Nominee
FR ^ | May 2 | RF

Posted on 05/02/2024 9:46:34 AM PDT by RandFan

I'm making a bold prediction today she's got this based on the following evidence:

She's on the list

Donald Trump Shortlist: Tulsi Gabbard's VP Chances Soar

"Tulsi Gabbard's odds of becoming the 2024 Republican vice-presidential candidate surged with a leading bookmaker after Donald Trump said she was on his short list during a Fox News town hall on Tuesday".

She wants it

Tulsi Gabbard ready to ‘serve my country’ as Trump’s vice president if asked

“If that call came, I would say yes, and I'd be honored to serve my country in that way and to be in a position, first, to help win this election, to stop the Democratic elite from destroying our country, and then actually begin the real work of getting our country back on track,” Gabbard said.

“And that starts with having people of courage in our government who care more about the country than they do about the political elite in Washington."

Betting odds reflect her growing chances

She was 35/1 earlier this year now she is 7/1 2nd FAVORITE in the betting to be the GOP Vice Presidential nominee.

For someone who isnt even a Republican to be 2nd Favorite for the nomination is unprecedented.

Her rivals are unimpressive

Noem, Tim Scott, etc. all look lightweights to me so that leaves JD Vance and I'm not sure Trump will pick a freshman senator

So that leads me to conclude that Tulsi Gabbard has this!!

Interesting...

Mark this thread because I have immediately placed $25 on her at 7/1 and will be donating the winnings (175 bucks) to FR if she is chosen by Donald Trump.

I'm confident enough for a small wager anyway!

Who agrees with me that it'll be her? And who's excited by this possibility?

*** Obama shredded the NBC requirement so I say Musk is a viable option.***

It is well known that Elon Musk was born in South Africa, no? Neither parent is American.

He might be a fine choice for something, but VP isn’t it.

Obama managed to fool enough people. The Left will never allow Musk to be a VP candidate.

"My Prediction - Michael Flynn."
LOL that would set liberal people & pundits on their ear!

A lot of Swampers have some payback coming from Mr. Flynn. And Mr. Trump.

From what I can see she was born in 1981 and her parents had joined a Hindu cult in the 1970s. So it does not seem like she was born Catholic.

Now, its possible her parents covered their bets and had her baptized anyway, but if so that isnt public knowledge.

My pick would be Josh Hawley, US Senator from Missouri.

Telegenic, conservative and well spoken. Verbally quick on his feet too.

On the flipside, Missouri is a GOP state and he wouldn’t add a lot to the ticket in terms of appeal to women, etc.

“ From what I can see she was born in 1981 and her parents had joined a Hindu cult in the 1970s. ”

Hindu cult is all I have to hear.

Her father remained Catholic.

Weird new agey pseudo Hindu.

I have no idea if she was baptized Catholic.

Makes no difference.

Freedom of religion.

And freedom to see she’s mixed up and not support her for multiple reasons.

Look, I made a promise to myself a long time ago, that I would never compromise my values again, hold my nose to vote for someone that I didn’t believe was good for the country. She can change her positions all she wants. She can be another NY Mayor Bloomberg, and change her parties more than she changes her underwear, she’ll never get my vote.

Trump isn’t stupid but he’s made some stupid decisions on people in his past administration. He’s also known for his tv show and the saying “ you’re fired”. I can’t recall him firing anyone in his administration, some left but it was their decision.

Most likable personality of the bunch? He’s a bit too much of a doofus for me, but he has some points in his favor.

People are all bent out of shape with this and I sit here pondering why. Has everyone only voted republican ticket in this forum? I for one voted democrat more than once in my lifetime. I am now a conservative, with reservations with regard to our wretched congressman and women. I vote for who I thought was a conservative in my state and it’s the same old stuff. I end up disappointed because they never do what they say they will. The good ol boys club is always full steam ahead.

I still vote straight R but know I’ll not be represented. It doesn’t matter who is President or VP or in Congress any more. There are bigger fish in that sea calling the shots.

If a candidate can’t get their position on 2A right, there’s no reason for me to look further.
She’s been a gun grabber her entire adult life, am I to believe she suddenly flip-flopped, and is pro gun now?
I see a snake in the grass, not a “reformed” democrat.

330 million people in this country, give or take a few 10’s of millions of illegal invaders. Surely a better VP candidate can be found somewhere.

Grant political experience can be an asset. It can also be a problem. Is it necessary?

Whether you support her or not is neither here nor there. I was addressing a statement of fact. The father seems to have had a leadership role in said Hindu cult, so it was both mom and dad.

That was the age of hippie silliness. Its left a variety of effects, persisting to this day. One effect was a lot of kids. Some turned out badly, some well.

"Tulsi and I may not agree on everything politically, but we agree on the most important things: we love our country and are committed to defending freedom. I know Tulsi’s heart, and have seen how she treats people with respect, regardless of their politics. I can always count on her to be honest, independent, and tough. All of those qualities come through in this book. Tulsi has written a gut-check that demands the attention of anyone who feels frustrated with the establishment and left behind. There is no doubt that what she says comes straight from the heart of a true patriot." Meghan McCain"

If Trump picks her for VP, he is a moron and will end his political career.

Tim Scott - Another senator, for 10 years. I would have thought Jeff Sessions would have been as reliable as they come. Sessions was “talked” out of doing his job. Senators are succeptable to talk & argument & deals. It’s what they do.

I’d rather trust Trump to find the unmalleable firebrand - and hope he does better than Mike Pence this time.

Scott seems reliably conservative and has been already tested as being labeled an “Uncle Tom” black. I reckon he’d get that doubly on a Trump ticket. Could he guarantee South Carolia? I guess so.

Fact is her father is Catholic, she is a Hindu convert.

Her parents being Hare Krishna types for a while doesn’t mean she’s not a Hindu convert.
