Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) announced he would join Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) in co-sponsoring Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) motion to vacate House Speaker Mike Johnson

(good read at link)
((Excerpt) Read more at Apr 19, 2024 ...) did I ever mess that up.
I can appreciate Gosars frustration but we have the slimmest majority in the House and Democrats are working overtime to seize control so the can execute what amounts to a soft coup to take permanent control of the US government
Democrats have come to realize that they have become such extreme, Hard Left Progressives that they can never win another national election
Any candidate that is hard left enough to get the nomination of their radical base is totally unelectable by mainstream America
Their response is to seize total control in this next election and then use the power of government to assure that they never relinquish power again
Motions to vacate the Speakership are counterproductive
Johnson has inherited an ungovernable situation and our only hope is to fight a holding operation to try to win a governable majority in November.
The 1960s radicals who vowed to work within our system of government to destroy the system from within are reaching their 70s and the ends of their careers so they are making their move to realize their life goals and implement their agenda
They are importing millions of illegal aliens from countries where political corruption and political violence is the norm to be their muscle and their enforcers
all Americans knew beforehand that the GOP
would eat them and their children alive before
they helped America.
NEVER EVER TRUST THE GOP. Only fools trust the GOP.
“we have the slimmest majority in the House”
Apparently not
When gop are Dems irs not a majority
It’s all going according to plan.
The GOP has control of the House (nominally), the Dems have the White House and Senate.
Going into election season, the GOP is going to hand what little control it has to the Dems without a fight. They’ll be happy to save speaker Johnson in exchange for “parity” in committee leadership and stopping problematic hearings and investigations. Come the election, the Dems will point to GOP ineptitude and win over the House... and all that spirit of working together will evaporate overnight.
Johnson isn’t good, but strategically, he’s the best of a bad set of choices.
The solution to all this is simple. Vacate Johnson and make Trump Speaker. That way the enemy can’t drag him into any courts and we get a leader who is not going to compromise on America.
There should be at least 200 of them.
We’re seeing the Uniparty, show full colors, with those joining with Dems to support this Sneaker.
Upcoming litmus test possibility.
The pant load is 25’d
Harris suits up and takes the controls
The new president appoints someone to fill his or her old position, subject to congressional approval.
Note that it is congressional as a body...
IOW The veep seat goes vacant until after the election.
Oh they will continue to steal with impunity .
That is until it is put up with no more.
LOVE your idea ... however, how many traitorous RINOs would vote for this?
Maybe we can do a call in/mail in campaign ... a We the People Vote.
(I like dreamin’!)
List the Rinos and other criminals who will vote for that.
The reason we have Ryan’s, McCarthys, and Johnsons as speakers is because THAT is who the party IS.
The road to restoring the country does not pass through fantasyland.
So Johnson overnight became the Dems’ water carrier because of the situation he inherited?
What other RINO excuses do you have?
IMO the Dems and Johnson will flip Congress before November anyway.
That said, I’m not so certain that booting McCarthy without a plan wasn’t part of the larger plan we’re now seeing play out.
So now four and not yet privileged motion so waste of time, all talk. But interesting to see folks on FR and elsewhere stepping up to defend Johnson or fretting over matters. Johnson should resign or be fired as speaker, now.
What makes you people think Johnson wouldn’t vote with the Dems against Trump? He’s voting against us now isn’t he? 1 or 2 or 5 seat majority means nothing if people are voting the way you want them to.
You must be the fun guy at parties?
Closing the door after the horses have left the barn?
Pitiful nothingness pretending to be important
You have an error in judgement.
The current House can actually do nothing real to change the situation at the border. Getting all lathered up on passing some border legislation at present is foolish.
Even if passed, it can go nowhere. The Senate will not pass it and even if it did, the President would not sign. There are better uses of legislative time
