It’s called “democracy.”
It may be surprising to us, but there have been thinkersdown through history who didn’t believe democracy is the optimal system of government. Here is a quotation from one of them:
“Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths. Theoretic politicians who have patronized this species of government, have erroneously supposed that by reducing mankind to a perfect equality in their political rights, they would at the same time be perfectly equalized and assimilated in their possessions, their opinions, and their passions.”
This same writer also penned this:
“Democracy is the most vile form of government.”

Women are different, that's the nicest thing I can say. It's obvious that the female voters are not able to select a benevolent and limited government our founding fathers wanted us to have.
“I think of a man, and then I take away reason and accountability.”
Exactly, lol. Unfortunately, we have to suffer as a nation. Then we can use Robert Heinlein’s model of gaining citizenship through military service.
God made women to take care of their home and family, NOT to rule the world.
As in the garden, so now, Satan has confused women by selling VALUE as being ROLE.
But value does NOT equal role, and performance does NOT determine value.
Women are equally valuable as men. But their roles are DISTINCTLY different from men and they are to be subject to the man.
It’s all repeated in the New Testament from which since around 1900, the world has turned away. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” The opposite is also true.
While that statement above will enrage some, especially those women who see themselves as feminists, the truth is the truth. The "Daddy's Little Girl" syndrome is real. They are always looking for that knight in shining armor to come to their rescue.
I recently read a biography of the turn of the century author Jack London, who was a socialist and an alcoholic. He recognized that women's suffrage would bring on Prohibition (failed) and Socialism (a work still in progress). London supported women't suffrage for that reason, because he fervently felt that alcohol would get banned and that socialism would come about.
Again, not all women feel that way. Some are great conservatives, but the majority of them want and need a protector. Giving them the vote set us on the course to where we are today.
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury.”
Alexander Fraser Tytler
I think we’re getting pretty close to that point.
but we have a constitution in the US....if it was followed, we would have no problems...
We are in Post-Constitution America
The communists control the voting systems, machines, counting, etc.
Women voting did not cost Trump the 2020 election - the massive voter fraud “won” the election for the communists.
C’mon man, try to keep up...
Churchill had it right - the worst EXCEPT for all other forms that have been tried... and why is democracy great? Lincoln had that part right - of the people, by the people and for the people...
The 17th Amendment overnight rendered the Framers’ stable federal republic into an unstable democratic mess by making the Senate more congruent with the House.
Instead of standing athwart ill-considered and expected levelling bills from the people’s House, our post 17A Senate is as useful to the purposes of the Framers’ Constitution as an appendix is to the human body. It serves no positive function but can nonetheless kill.
The problem with Plato’s philosophy is that he envisions that the unwashed masses will be ruled by the enlightened intelligentsia who will rule properly doling out what is good for the sheep.
In ANY name or form - that’s totalitarian oppression - even if it’s a gilded cage and it’s ultimately what all forms of communism end up being - see Xi’s China, see Putin’s Russia, etc; See any theocratic state for that matter.
See Covid and you’ll see Plato’s philosophy in full display.
I leave you with the immortal and, of course contradictory rationale, of the true meaning of liberty vs enlightened rule... From I, Mudd...
KIRK: No, we are stronger. I’ll prove it to you. Can you harm a man that you’re programmed to serve?
NORMAN: No.
MUDD: But you already have, Norman, laddy. Human beings do not survive on bread alone, you poor soulless creature, but on the nourishments of liberty, for what indeed is a man without freedom? Naught but a mechanism trapped in the cogwheels of eternity.
MCCOY: (in a monotone) You offer us only well-being.
SCOTT: (in a monotone) Food and drink and happiness mean nothing to us. We must be about our job.
MCCOY: Suffering, in torment and pain. Labouring without end.
SCOTT: Dying and crying and lamenting over our burdens.
BOTH: Only this way can we be happy.
True - but the problem was that the State’ politicians had entrenched their own power structures (still have in a way) so the only way to break through that logjam was to take the power of the senate election out of the state legislatures and to the people directly.
I still say it needs to be reverted but I understand what it was trying to “fix”.
Well, here’s the rub.
Founding Father quotes may inspire or impress most on a board like this one.
However, much of the under 40 population has been raised to despise the countries founders and to hate what they created. Advice from the past out of hand rejected.

That was not an element of the arguments to popularize the senate.
“Uncle Sam is gonna get the job done.”
Hardly “get the job done.” Uncle Sam pays just enough for you to stay in poverty your whole life. You never rise above that. If “get the job done” means a gigantic, perpetual underclass that votes for that horrible minimal existence, then yes, that is “the job is done.”
If we want people to rise above that and be happy, productive citizens, then there is nothing worse than indentured servitude to the infernal government
Thank You!
I wish people would stop calling us a democracy. We weren’t designed to be one. It’s spelled out very clearly in the Constitution.
Yes they did. They made the election close enough so the Democrats could do fraud.
Donald Trump is not as popular as you think.
