I do not advocate for pot, only for the individuals right to choose. I don't use it. It has an odor. It's bad for the lungs. I never got a euphoric "high" when I did try it. it's a nothingburger for me personally. I do have friends who partake (vets with PTSD).
It is certainly less harmful than fentanyl, heroin and all of the other Schedule 1 drugs and never should have been classified as such.
The only thing I can say in its defense is I hear that some of the nurses in rehab are supposedly pretty . . nice. But even that's not enough to tempt me with what some call the devils weed. YMMV

In 1971, five high school students in San Rafael, California,[5][6] used the term "4:20" in connection with a plan to search for an abandoned cannabis crop, based on a treasure map made by the grower.[7][8] Calling themselves the Waldos,[9][10] because their typical hang-out spot "was a wall outside the school",[11]...

Great. "Outside the school". A clock time and a treasure map originating in San Raphael:

Then as it turns out, the "420" page has a Hebrew side, where it is explained that 420 is pronounced four-twenty, like this:
"פור-טוונטי".
Which in turn adds up to 376: Shalom, peace.

Undeterred, I checked it out anyway, and that's nothing new .. plenty of peace-weed imagery already, such as
I've got no interest in smoking or consuming this stuff. I'm just it for the puns. The "40" really jumps out on this one. Tis the season where all that time is... wrapped up finally.
This "devil" weed is no match for the language of Pun-ish, because there's *always* something good out there to find and utilize. It's a Good News "Challenge".

First, I would seek healing with prayer and fasting. The Bible has many scriptures of Jesus healing! We are to be Christ’s authority here on Earth and defeat Satan’s rule of our body and soul when our spirit is Jesus Christ- our Lord and Savior. Use the full weight of Jesus!!!
I know many have issues with Jerry Saville who just passed this week. Last year I heard him talk about ‘receiving your healing, receiving your blessing.’ Yes, he told more stories than I needed to hear but I asked for patience to hear his word. I realized that when I have been given a blessing that sometimes I do not receive it and replace that area with holy God-breathed scripture. So many, including me for decades, pray and receive a blessing but just rejoice at the time vs. for life.
Seek Jesus. Seek those who have a healing ministry and believe for your healing and life for Jesus Christ!!!

More importantly, it is a Palindrome Day:

I’d rather have pot heads not working. Back in the early 70’s I worked in a hospital laboratory. The second shift would come to work stoned and then take a break at 9pm and get stoned again. They still had to work until 11pm. Administration turned a blind eye to it.

The number reflects urban lore of when kids would meet after school to get high. “We’re gonna meet at 4:20.” It was a code. All of the stuff after comes from that.
you sure about that?? seems the age school gets out at 2PM... dinner time was 5ish... 4:20 seems a little close to dinner and poses a risk of getting busted by the parents being stoned at dinner!! lol...
Odds are the parents were stoned, too.
Indeed wait for the excuses to roll in.
Now I know why our local paper yesterday had a 8-page special section on pot entitled “420!” Pot is big down here in Oil Patch City - 25+ “dispensaries” in our small city and fifth in sales in the entire state. Why someone might ask? Because we are just 4 miles from the Texas border (we also have a casino and horse racing, neither available in west Texas). A local contractor is building small business strip malls (5 or 6 stores), but every one of them has a pot shop as the key business.
At some point they will become oversaturated but until then each one tries to impress buyers with ads about local grown weed or different types of candies or brownies. Of course, though pot might have some beneficial medical uses, there is a user segment that chases after more potent drugs that always leads to both an influx of drug dealers and petty crime as users need cash to buy the illegal drugs.
I’m almost 70. In my life, I smoked one cigarette, didn’t like it, and didn’t do it again. I figure, back in the ‘70s I smoke my share of marijuana and stopped before I got married. I haven’t had a desire to smoke it since. I don’t even drink anymore.
My brother, however, is still at it. 50+ years of smoking that stuff, I’m surprised he’s in fairly good shape.
I’m not in favor of it being legal but it is what it is…..
Boom and bust. I think the same thing happened in Washington or Oregon. The pot shops kept having to lower their prices until they were crying they weren't making any money. I believe the illegal Chinese pot farms were a big part of the reason too.
It made me paranoid when I smoked it. Glad I stopped, I didn’t need that….
If you smoke pot this is the perfect day to stop for good. That is your pot freedom!
What a coincidence.
