The wild $30 million cash heist from a Los Angeles warehouse Easter Sunday was apparently pulled off by a top-notch group of criminals — and so clean that it could go unsolved, an expert says.
“This is a group that would have to have a lot of prior experience,” Scott Selby, a Harvard-educated lawyer and co-author of “Flawless,” a book about the famous Antwerp Diamond Heist, told The Post.
“It’s like if you were a gymnast, you know, by the time you’re world-quality, you’ve already done a lot of work,” Selby said of the type of thieves who seem to have targeted the GardaWorld facility in the Sylmar neighborhood last week.
The polished criminals snuck into the site through its roof and accessed a safe without setting off any alarms, authorities said.
They made off with $30 million in cold, hard cash — which would have weighed 660 pounds in $100 bills, Selby said.
“We know they’re good because they got in and out without anybody noticing. And so far, there’s nothing obvious that leads the LAPD and FBI to know who they are,” the expert said.
“It’s very possible that this case could go unsolved, given that level of skill involved with this, the fact that already there’s been no compelling leads.
“And also just the nature of what they stole,” Selby said. “I mean, you can’t work backwards. If someone sees a highly unusual diamond, they remember, ‘Hey, I know that stone.’ But nobody’s gonna be like, ‘Oh, yeah, I remember that used $100 bill.’ ”

Only if the ex knows what happened. I know that if I ever came across a lot of money, nobody would know. I would just somehow always have a couple of extra dollars.
Amateurs. I know about a nest of thieves in Washington DC that openly steals Trillions and gets away it every year!
They're good because it was an inside job. They knew exactly what to do. Compound this by the fact LAPD is belly up with their DEI bull sh*t.

If this is applied to criminals then there’s a good chance that by the time they’re world class they’d be at least on law enforcements radar.
If the job were pulled off by a bunch of non criminals without any inside help then yeah I can believe that maybe they’d skate. But a heist like this pulled off by crooks comes under the heading of “watch what you wish for you may get it.” Such a windfall can complicate your life in a million ways. And if you have a lot of other crooks around you some may be suspicious or know and if they get themselves into trouble down the line they may try to deal their way out by offering you.
I doubt any of them would be stupid enough to tell their ex what they were going to do.
If anything, only the perps knew what they were going to do.

Wait until some dead bodies start showing up. Some of them want more than their “fair share” and at least one will be making a few large purchases that bring them unwanted attention.
Everytime I hear that part of the song Layla by Derek and the Domino’s I think of Ray Carbone hanging frozen in the meat truck.
