Well of course if you only wear something once it’s bad for the earth. I mean the trash level alone. Now if you wear it to death... different matter.

how asinine can the left get? Let us count the ways 1: “Wearing Jeans causes climate change”

it’s like trying to argue with insane asylum inmates- You can’t win because they are incapable of understanding logic and common sense, and because they ignore facts, such as ‘man’s CO2 is nowhere near enough to change the climate one iota-”

To determine the CO2 effects, scientists followed the life cycle of a pair of jeans that were quickly produced, shipped, worn, washed and discarded after about seven uses.

I think I have worn my jeans more than 7 times. Many, many, many more times because they are bluejeans and are durable. That is one of the reasons they were made the way they are.

I’m sitting here wearing blue jeans and Weejuns. Still stuck in the 60s, I guess.

That's ridiculous. They're not even broken in until way past that.

Stupid article, based on stupid assumptions.

Since wearing jeans is “bad for the earth”, how about I just purchase them, put them on my shelf and not wear them. That sounds like it is perfectly fine.

Actually, all the people who believe this nonsense are living in a lie and, for the good of the earth, should immediately off themselves. If not, what is their excuse for not doing so? Every single thing they do including breathing impacts CO2. The goal is obviously de-industrialization and depopulation, the true believers must be the ones to set the example by offing themselves.

The next time I drive my SUV 6.4 miles wearing my jeans, I’m going to say a little thank-you prayer for Cotton and Oil...and hope these idiots would all just stop breathing to save the earth.

“the carbon footprint of fast fashion consumption”

I have never worn (nor will ever wear) anything called “fast fashion.”

I doubt my Walmart “Rustler” jeans count as “fast fashion,” anyway, so I’m off the hook.

What a bunch of neurotic people.

“cross-broad transportation”

Trust me, you never want to cross a broad when it comes to transportation. My ‘62 Bug crossed a few of them and I’ll never forget it.

These people are so stupid that they’re not even aware they should be embarrassed about their stupidity. I don’t even try to use logic with them because they are incapable of even perceiving the concept of logic.

“worn, washed and discarded after about seven uses”

Never in my lifetime have I ever worn any pair of jeans just seven times. For most of them I cannot even count how many times they were worn - usually worn until they were “worn out”.

Again, “fast fashion” is, like “fandom” another thing not far very far removed from idol worship.

Bad headline. Fast fashion, or trash fashion, wear it only a few times and toss it, produces a lot waste and uses a lot of carbon.

Wear a pair of jeans hundreds of times, no guilt

“a pair of jeans that were quickly produced, shipped, worn, washed and discarded after about seven uses.”

Seven uses? Buy jeans that are darker in color with less pre-washing. Don’t automatically wash them after every use if they don’t need it. They will last longer.

There must be a bug-based fabric about to be introduced. The feds will mandate a 50 percent market share by 2030 and 100 percent by 2035.
