M. Emmet Walsh, the character actor known for his roles in films such as “Blade Runner” and “Knives Out,” has died. He was 88.
Walsh’s longtime manager, Sandy Joseph, confirmed to The Post that Walsh died Tuesday of cardiac arrest at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, Vermont.
When asked about his career, Walsh said, per Joseph’s release, “I approach each job thinking it might be my last so it better be the best work possible. I want to be remembered as a working actor. I’m being paid for what I’d do for nothing.”

Blade Runner is my all time favorite movie, and the original U.S. version too, the one where Harrison Ford narrates.
So ahead of its time.

Two Lane Blachtop, Kelly’s Heroes, Cool Hand Luke...They’re like “Hey, that's Harry Dean Stanton, and he’s gone. He had a buligger role in an episode of “Adam-12” I did like him in “Two and a Half Men”, as himself. Even Sean Penn was bearable on that episode.

The sequel Blade Runner 2049 is worth checking out if you haven’t already. It’s a worthy follow-up to the original IMO.

You gotta love a player who makes a career hitting groundballs. I saw the Ada-12 episode.
209 acting credits! One of my favorites was Shadrach in “Dead Mans Walk” which also had Keith Carradine as Bigfoot Wallace.

When they announced it, I was aghast, no need to mess with perfection. I heard many good things about it, and actually bought it for my Apple TV when it first came out.
I have not yet been able to bring myself to watch it.

He was in one of the very best episodes of the X-Files titled, “The Unnatural.”

His range was what impressed me. From the hapless guy in “The Twilight Zone: Dealer’s Choice”, to that evil guy in “The Outer Limits: The Refuge”, he could cover it all. RIP.

"I’m being paid for what I’d do for nothing.”
That's pretty close to the best job you can get!
