I remember hiking the back swamps of a local reservoir when I was a kid in SoCal and coming across piles and piles of frog torsos, sans their legs. Must of been some local folks having a big feast of ‘em because it wasn’t a restaurant menu item I remember seeing. Or maybe I didn’t go to those kind of restaurants.

Never ate a frog before. I remember dissecting one in 7th grade science class.

We dissected fetal pigs instead. None of the girls in my group wanted to do it, so I had to. Of course I also managed to accidently flick a little bit of fetal pig innards on one of the girls foreheads, of which she was not pleased.

My great-grandmother was sent off to finishing school in Paris. She returned to what is now Lithuania with a love of frog legs. Her father built a frog pond on the estate to sate her appetite.

She also found a German baron to marry. I think WWI got him.

The French eating frogs legs seems so canibalistic.

Ralph Kramden, to his wife Alice, as he was playing “big shot” in front of his boss at a dinner - “Don’t just order frog legs Alice. Order the WHOLE frog!!!”

Never had frog legs. Guessing they’re delicious if you can get over the thought of them.

I know everyone says this about out of the norm foods, but they really do taste like chicken.

Bullfrogs are a pest out here in the PNW. They can have all mine in my irrigation pond.
