Judicial Watch: Records Show CIA Deployed Bomb Techs, Dog Teams to DC on January 6

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today it received 88 pages of Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) records from the Department of Justice in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit that show the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) deployed personnel to Washington, DC, on January 6, 2021.

Judicial Watch forced the release of the records through a June 5, 2023, lawsuit that was filed after the Justice Department failed to respond to an August 10, 2023, FOIA request for records and communications regarding shots being fired inside the U.S. Capitol, as well as requests for Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Special Response Team assistance on January 6, 2021 (Judicial Watch Inc. v U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:23-cv-01608)).

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) records include a series of text messages under the heading “January 7 Intel Chain” in which two separate references to participation by the CIA are made. One states that “two CIA bomb techs” are assisting with “a pipe bomb scene on New Jersey and D ST SE.” Another references “several CIA dog teams on standby.”

Is "assisting" the new euphemism for "planting"? Is that why the feebs, despite having tracked down one of the guys who planted it, is not at all interested in SWATting the guy?

The CIA is a foreign intelligence service. Yes, it does operate inside the US on occasion, but that is not its primary role. The idea that the CIA would be the agency searching for bombs at a DC demonstration ought to raise eyebrows. That’s a police function. Maybe we live in a police state. Maybe.

The CIA shouldn’t be operating on US soil.
Jan 6th, had a POTUS ask for national guard and more police presence, instead we got CIA.
That story line doesn’t mesh, and that’s just what we KNOW at this time.
2020 election and the CIA are linked in multiple ways now.

Just like color revolutions conducted overseas, the object was overthrowing the existing regime.

Exactly. It is my understanding that the CIA is not allowed to engage in domestic operations. If it requires so, they are supposed to bring in the FBI or other entities.

Granted, that doesn't explain why they visited my father in the late early 2000s to discuss me, a patriot. They talked to my father on several occasions but never to me. I would have honestly answered any of their questions. It's always bugged me. I still don't know the reason for it. (any of you out there in the CIA ... yes... I know are here, I'd love to have that nagging oddity explained at some point.)

Without giving any love to the CIA, I’d guess that CIA has numerous teams of handlers/dogs trained and equipped to sniff out explosives, as part of guarding their facilities, screening vehicles entering them, etc.

Borrowing available search teams in the wake of finding a couple of bombs in DC does not seem nefarious, and certainly does not of itself prove any involvement in planting the DNC/RNC devices. They could look for more bombs or try to track the delivery and exit routes. News seems to indicate the discovered bombs were inert, without explosives (meaning there was nothing for a dog to sniff, but not searching would seem pretty stupid if a subseqent bomb went off).

Or maybe the CIA’s mission isn’t what they say it is. Such as making video animations of a plane crash over US waters for consumption by US viewers, namely, TWA800.
