The percentage of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer adults in the U.S. continues to increase, reaching an all-time high of 7.6% in 2023, according to a new Gallup report. Broken down by gender, the survey of 12,000 people 18 and older across the country found that women were nearly twice as likely as men to identify as LGBTQ.
“Almost 30% of Gen Z women identify as LGBTQ+, most as bisexual,” Jeffrey Jones, a senior editor at Gallup, told NBC News. “That’s where a lot of the growth seems to be happening.”

I’m a decade behind you but I agree. One thing that does stand out to me with Gen Z women is that so many of them have tattoos. I work with one very beautiful blonde who has tats all over body, except on her face, and she tells me she has problems attracting men. Gee, I wonder why?!

Yes that was a slogan long ago. Also in another direction, women with numerous failed and/or abusive relationships look for solace and comfort in lesbian relationships. My late wife taught 15 years in a largely Puerto Rican part of Brooklyn. Quite a few of her student’ moms would tell her of their troubles with their men and how that led them to finding comfort with a woman.

Yep, just look at all the shallow women that worship Taylor Swift. I think a lot of the guys that go to her concerts are just doing so to please their girlfriends.
(Of course even 40+ years ago, when I regularly listened to popular music, I only attended one rock concert. And that was only because the girl I dated at the time wanted to go to it.)
The thing that celebrity worshippers fail to let sink in is: those artists spend hours and hours honing their skills. They started out just like anybody else: unskilled. Yet people ooh and ahh when they see them in action, as though that skill came out of the womb with them.
