Even with her sunny reputation in comedy, Carol Burnett knows she’s at times taken things too far.
The actress, 90, cited an incident when she was touring with her famous Q&A act on the road in a new Harper’s Bazaar interview. Shortly after 9/11, someone in the audience asked if Burnett could be a member of the opposite sex for 24 hours, who would she be and what would she do.
“I said, ‘I’d be Osama bin Laden, and I’d kill myself,’ ” Burnett recalled. She noted that the situation is one that she very much regrets.

That's actually quite funny.
Carol Burnette and Lucille Ball were close friends, with Carol making several appearances on Lucy’s 1960s sitcoms. Lucy wanted to create a sitcom for Carol to star in, but Carol decided she’d rather host a variety show instead. I’ll go out on a limb here and say she made the right decision.
Carol was big on the Gary Moore show and liked variety and improv. She could do everything and like Selleck said, could be one helluva sexy woman. But she made her rep playing buckteeth, curler ridden, washer women with a mop. To me, she is or was the most talented female performer ever.
I watch Me Tv (aka: The Old Geezer Channel) pretty regularly and they run many ads promoting her show.In some of the photos they show she isn’t very attractive...IMO. But in others she’s truly gorgeous.
