Doobies took a nosedive after he got involved. Just my opinion.

He sang like he had a mouth full of dirty sweat socks.

I used to like him until he showed his leftist panties.

He always sounded like his voice was gasping for air or something... Kinda’ weird really and it was in every single syllable he ever sang.

Wow, so much vitriol for this great singer. He and Steve Perry, the two best singers of that era. Note perfect and soaring vocals when called for. Ronnie Dunn of Brookes and Dunn is similar. People that can just sing are what makes music wonderful.

IMHO his best work was with Steely Dan. “Peg” and “Bad Sneakers”.

For all his flaws, I gotta give him his due for one unusual thing: he’s apparently been married to the same woman for more than 40 years. Highly unusual for a California entertainer!

What an interview! I grew up with this music... Looking forward to it.
Rick Beato has the best music-related channel on YouTube and he's really getting some heavy hitters in the biz to show up. Often, they call Beato because they're fans of his show!

Just watched this one. One of Beato’s best I think.
