Mission Street is a north-south arterial thoroughfare in San Francisco, California that runs from Daly City's southern border to San Francisco's northeast waterfront , recent street conditions have decimated local businesses large and small from retail pharmacies to restaurants , block after block of vacant store fronts is what mission street has been reduced to.
In this video I’m walking the downtown part of the mission, what I found is a transformation of the city no one could have imagined just a few years ago.

Come for the shopping. Leave with HIV TB Hep C and E coli.
Or turned in to luxury housing for illegal aliens where they will live for free courtesy of the stupid gringo taxpayer.
Almost makes you wish for the San Andreas to let loose, and rubble the entire place. . .
My bro believes the Chinese will snap up NYC and San Fran for pennies from the original price.

This process has been going on for decades in SF. I worked at 525 Market in the late 90s and walking to the office from a parking lot near the Bay Bridge BofA tower (long since gone), you had to traverse hostile homeless/drug addicts, urine, and scat all over the walls of buildings and sidewalks. Nobody should be surprised that has been paying attention.
Was he following Mother Abagail?
Yup. Intentional destruction of value so the well connected can come in and swoop up the distressed properties on the cheap.
Then they turn things around and get a 900% profit.
Newsome is part of this plan
The federal government could outlaw the retail sale of cigarettes and packaged alcoholic beverages in San Francisco and other cities and towns served by BART.
Nancy Pelosi could ask the DEA to shut down the pot shops in the SF Bay area.
There would be fewer homeless folks in San Francisco.
Will cows be grazing in Cow Hollow once again?
Incredible and sad to see. I used to look forward to going to SF from Sacramento where I lived in the late ‘50’s -’70’s. We spent many weekends in SF, dinners, meeting friends, movies. We went there to see the movie “Cleopatra” as it was playing there before Sacramento - I couldn’t wait! Crossing the Bay Bridge into SF was always a thrill..the city WAS beautiful!
These pictures look they could have been taken in Tijuana but I bet Tijuana doesn’t have that much graffiti...
I can’t imagine the number of tenants in those buildings who had to move out - not just the retail establishments..Can’t help but wonder what the number is.
Why would they buy it? They only want property they can rent
“revitalized”
That will not be possible until the drug flow is stopped, the majority of bums are involuntarily committed in mental hospitals, vagrancy laws are re-established (get rid of “being homeless is not a crime” — it failed big time), police presence is increased 10X, the commies in the DA’s office and courts rooted out, the police are let loose to make it a clean, safe place, and the people finally decide civic virtue is superior to tolerance.
Do you honestly see any of that happening? As rich as the developers are, they cannot effect those societal changes. “Build it and they will come” just does not work any more when society has completely crumbled and become so permissive that the cultural rot is made permanent.
In another generation, there won’t be any living memory of the past glory of SF. All people will know is crime, drugs, and squalor.
In the UK, it is common to sell property that be developed with a 50% uplift clause so the unconnected seller can share in the profits that a connected buyer can get.
I just finished reading a novel about SF that told the history of the city and the corruption that took place there. It ended with the great earthquake of 1906. It seems to me the city seemed to do better after the quake. It needs another big one.
Buy it for pennies and redevelop it to make dollars. It’s the oldest trick in real estate. Buy off the politicians that will neglect an area until it turns to rubble and turn it over to the developer who will redevelop it and make billions.

Or China. That visit by Xi was probably an open house invite.
The homelessness epidemic states are the blue states that pay the most lavish benefits.
They’ve done the rest of the nation an immense service by attracting these people as a form of state industry.
Its dead Jim.
“no one could have imagined just a few years ago”
Really? I’m from the Detroit area, when I was last there several years ago I was shocked...this is WAY worse than downtown Detroit.
They couldn’t see it a few years ago? Then they didn’t realize how bad it was...and still seem to have no idea it’s just getting started. That city is in a death spiral.
