Model Pattie Boyd is selling letters that lift the lid on her notorious love triangle with guitarist Eric Clapton and Beatles star George Harrison.
Boyd was a muse to both men in the 1960s and 70s, inspiring Harrison's classic song Something and Clapton's hits Wonderful Tonight and Layla.
Initially married to the Beatle, she was pursued by his close friend Clapton in a series of passionate love letters

Do you know anyone as cute as she was? You can’t image how they will look later, even though I think ladies that take care of themselves and DON’T take the rubberized Jack-Nicholson “Joker-Face” surgery come out looking alright a lot of times.

I’ve never really paid much mind to aging until last week, whn, while watching coverage of game seven of the 1960 World Series, I reminded myself I was all of twelve years old when Mazeroski’s homer cleared the Forbes Field wall(one of the sweetest moments of my life),closing in on sixty four years ago...
sixty four years is a lot in human terms...
Some women criticize her appearance, as if to say, she wasn’t all that.
But...she was all that. Her female critics may not be able to see that. But every man in the life of each of those female critics can see that. That spark of natural beauty.
Paul McCartney’s old GF Jane Asher comes to mind. She could could make a fortune dishing on him but hasn’t.
Maybe Asher made a real life for herself, and this one didn’t...

I think everyone involved was OK with the trade.
Clapton and Harrison remained good friends before, during and after.
I think that’s part of it but she never aired their dirty laundry. The worst part that I could find was she announced their breakup on TV. Supposedly she caught him cheating on her & he has mentioned past discretions as well. I think that’s one of the reasons that Linda and he never spent time away from each other outside of his Japanese arrest.
That doesn’t mean that it’s very tasteful to publish the private besotted personal revelations of a young man when he’s old - and has a wife.
She was utterly adorable. George really was smitten and those cute looks were a big reason for it.

The Asher’s lived on Wimpole Street. She was a bit of the upper crust.
Her brother Peter Asher is very involved in the music business, Peter and Gordon fame. He was/is friends with the Beatles. He is a music producer now.
