Today is the 61st anniversary of the day Rosa Parks helped kickstart the civil rights movement by refusing to give up her seat on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. It arrives as Donald Trump, a man many people have accused of unbridled bigotry, is about to take the White House.
Would you believe they met once?
The full, uncropped photo includes not just Trump and Parks, but also Muhammad Ali, Joe DiMaggio, Victor Borge, and Anita Bryant. (Parks died in 2005, and Ali in June.) All were receiving the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, which is given by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations.
Hillary Clinton received the award in 1999.

Posting because the photo has driven the Left crazy. Maybe you can use it somewhere.
Ali always looked so cool.
Donald Trump was friends with many black civil rights leaders. There are many photos on the Internet of him with Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. And Trump was popular with Hollywood. Below is a link of Trump and Megan Mullally singing ‘Green Acres’ at the 2006 Emmy Awards.
And get this. Trump was kindly introduced by Ellen DeGeneres!
If you’ve never seen the clip, it’s a hoot.

But then in 2016 Trump did something terrible. He beat Hillary in a fair and free election. Blacks turned their backs on him. And so did Hollywood.
The bus where she sat is now at Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

These posts are part of our celebration of Black History Month here.
As a result of never-ending Leftist propaganda from the very second he was elected.
Dear Leftists and Low-Infos: A well-deserved smackdown of Hillary Clinton or Rosie O'Donnell does not constitute "unbridled bigotry."
So, how long before Joe reminisces about how he was on the bus with Rosa and beat up some white guys who were harassing her.
How about that.
Both Trump and Parks represent ideals of freedom from government interference. Rosa Parks famously challenged oppressive government policies by refusing to give up her seat on a bus, symbolizing resistance against micromanagement and the infringement of basic rights. Her act of defiance highlighted the unjust nature of regulations dictating where citizens could sit based on race.
Similarly, Donald Trump’s political platform emphasized reducing government intervention and promoting individual liberties, albeit in different contexts. While their methods and motivations may differ, both figures symbolize movements towards greater personal freedom and autonomy.
I remember Trump also won an award in NYC for helping underprivileged black kids get better educations, or something similar. Liberals loved Trump when they thought he was one of them.
Interesting take, I like it!
Joe drove the bus. He told truckers he used to be a long hauler. Nobody believed him. Nobody called him out on it. If Trump said he was on the high school basketball team and he really wasn’t, it’d be front page news and be on blast for months.
Thanks.

Orange Juice meet Orange Man.
Rosa Parks lived in Detroit for many years before her death. I always wondered why she moved there then I hard the Mike Ilyich, founder of Little Caesars Pizza and a white guy secretly paid for her living expenses for decades
Interesting, thanks.

Until he got to know their deep state ways. Says a lot to me.
