This bug survives in hot springs with 120 to 200 degree water. An ambient temperature increase of MAYBE 0.5 degrees is going to cause it to spread northward.

The discovery of a cyanobacteria called Thermus aquaticus was one instance of a gamechanger. Found in a Yellowstone hot spring, the bacteria defies all preconceived notions the organism cannot tolerate high temperatures. This one actually prefers water above 158 degrees. Does this mean life can exist on hot planets?
