Congrats! Is he a freeper? Never met him.
To: PetroniusMaximus
It doesn’t say that he died, so maybe.

Should have had the foresight to buy the entire Baja California peninsula and at least 10 miles South of the existing border going into Texas. I’ve always hated the U.S./Mexico border because it’s so irregular, it needs to be a straight light with the U.S. owning that strip of land.

Well done Mister Gadsden, 300 years later tyrants still fear your flag.

No surprise there, given that the guy was a real troublemaker. 🙂

James Gadsden, the diplomat, was Christopher’s grandson. Both were South Caroliners.

I fly this one under the Stars and Stripes.

I was born in Gadsden, Alabama named for Christopher Gadsden's grandson, James Gadsden who negotiated the Gadsden Purchase from Mexico.
Happy Birthday Founder of our nation and designer of our most venerated revolutionary flag.

Every Memorial Day and Independence Day I fly that flag right underneath Old Glory. Patriots out here in central Kansas will slow down, wave and honk their horns when they drive by. Kinda neat.
