Lava lamps were more ‘60s. The picture of the kid watching TV was definitely well past the ‘70s, given the style of TV and stereo.

I hit adulthood in the late 1960’s. My wife and I have a lava lamp. The article forgot CB radios that became ubiquitous because of the 55 speed limit resulting from the gas shortages.

The next couple decades will be like what we thought the next couple decades would be like after seeing the Jetsons in the 60’s.
That was one of elon musk’s points. about 2000 he started asking what happened to the big space travel future we thought would happen.

Ditto machines? What the article describes seems like mimeograph machines and I remember them from the 60s, not the 70s.
There was a series called “The 21st Century” that aired back in the 60’s. It would be interesting to see it again.
The 70’s sucked musically, other then some left-over 60’s bands and new stylistic music like Fleetwood Mac. I was one of those people chanting, “Die Disco, Die”.

The 60’s were over, except for some leftover hippies.
Up to 73 was lots of leftover 60’s
Then lots of things were moving as well, especially closing the Gold window in 71, Withdrawal in ‘73, abandoning the Hemi Cuda and Boss 429, World Trade Center goes up, no more free tuition in Cali, Glo-Bull Cooling was then, on and on on on . . .
