Stone Age Man was us, just missing the thousands of years of additional technological development from which we benefit.

Not buying the weaving theory? Nor the 'arrow straighter' theory. What caused what was then super exceptional metallurgical achievement for some reason no one thought was significant enough to record about?
Sorry for the twisty way of putting that but that's what it is: an enigma found all pre-Europe no one can explain.

Just about everything.
In the wilderness you need something to cut with, something to make fire, something to cook in and something to tie it all together.

Could also be the explanation for the Roman-era dodecahedrons.

When I saw the topic title, I figured it was going to be about that, pleased to see it was something else entirely.

I’m late to the class. What is that item? Where can I read up on it?
To: Redcitizen
No one knows what the
roman dodecahedron was for. There are a lot of theories that have been offered but most fall flat after a few moments of consideration.

Excellent summation Gnarly. It bugs me no end that these damn things keep getting dug up (without corrosion probably due to alloy mix) yet no one has a clue. I’m starting to lean toward souvenirs given by Dr. Who to those who helped him in the past parts of our history.
