Meat is good for you. There are experts who might disagree with me, and many researchers continue to search for evidence linking meat to heart disease, for example.
But as a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist specializing in nutritional and metabolic psychiatry, I’ve long been curious about the relationship between food and brain health, as well as overall well-being. And in my research, I’ve yet to find a credible, plausible health argument against eating meat of any kind (including red meat, seafood, and poultry).

Burgers, stews, chili, beef stroganoff, lasagna, italian meatloaf, mexican lasagna...
All need meat. :)
I love them both, and rye bread, and Amba on the meat. If you haven’t tried it, it’s better than mustard, though not well-known outside the Middle East.
I have had amba! Love it too!
It’s probably sugar that’s killing us.
And bread turns into sugar in the body...
Ig God hadn’t intended for us to eat animals he wouldn’t have made them out of meat.
Pez. Cherry flavored Pez.
“”But as a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist specializing in nutritional and metabolic psychiatry,...”
Nutritional and metabolic psychiatry? Ridiculous.
I don’t think it’s ridiculous. A lot of food-related disorders, like severe obesity, bulimia nervosa, etc., probably have psychological components. Therapy would naturally involve psychology as well as nutrition.
I love beets!
Great! You can have mine. Then I can have my pudding. :-)
BTW, my ancestors were Inuit. Hand me some o’ that raw blubber, will ya? :-)
And Fry Bread. Love me some Fry Bread.
Meat isn’t the problem, it’s the carbs, especially high-fructose corn syrup.
Yep. I figured that out a long time ago, and I’m not an “expert”. If I want something sweet, I’ll take the cane sugar.
Carnivore 👍
“BREAD is killing you....................”
I agree. Toss out a piece of today’s store-purchased bread and watch as it just lays there uneaten by any insect or animal. A few years ago, we were cleaning out an old freezer and there was a pack of flour in it that we dumped in the edge of the woods. No animal touched it. It stayed in a little pile until the rain washed it away. If it was real food, insects or animals would have eaten it. People eat way too much of what passes for bread these days.
My d-i-l buys her own grain, grinds it, and makes her own bread. The difference in the taste and texture is amazing and animals will actually eat it.
Agree, but is it prudent to let folks know that you’re from Harvard right now?
OK. I’ll have the bacon cheeseburger on a big ol’ death bun.
One cancels the other, like drinking Diet Coke with glazed doughnuts.
I agree 100% with the woman in the video. I’m very careful to avoid everything she says is harmful.
I’m very healthy and don’t miss anything she tells us to ditch. No salt. It’s bad for the heart. No sugar, no lots of things she doesn’t even mention.
A week ago, I experienced it on a pita sandwich of “Jerusalem Mix,” or assorted grilled meats with vegetables, humus, hot sauce, tahina and on top of it all, glorious amba! Truly a memorable experience, enjoyed in a steakhouse outside the central bus station in Jerusalem.
From a Trump Pez dispenser.
