I watched the documentary on the Wrecking Crew. Great Show. It had Peter York commenting on how those studio musicians did it all.
You had The Wrecking Crew, Motown had the Funk Brothers, then you had the Swampers, Stax with the MGs. All fantastic musicians.

Paper Lace sent the song to the mayor of Chicago, Richard Daley, who greatly disliked it. A member of Daley’s staff is quoted as saying that Paper Lace should “jump in the Chicago River, placing your heads under water three times and surfacing twice. Pray tell us, are you nuts?”
I hate "I think I love you".
But yeah the 70s had some good music. Including some that did not ever make the top 100 chart.
