A suburban lawmaker outside Chicago proposed that residents be able to sign up to host migrants in their homes, noting that, "We do have a very affluent community."
Naperville, Illinois, Councilman Josh McBroom voiced the notion during a city council meeting last week, and a conservative account reacted to the clip on X on Tuesday.
"In light of the fact, I’m not going to support using other people’s money to house or aid – I do know that there’s a lot of people that do care, and I think we live in a compassionate community, so before we go down the road of, you know, following suit on some of these other cities are taking action on, my idea would be – let’s find out, let’s find out who’s willing to help," McBroom said.
"You know, we do hear from constituents on both sides of this, what are we going to do to preemptively stop this? And then we hear from people that tell us we should do more, so we do have a very affluent community, a lot of big homes, and what I’d like to do is direct staff to create a sign-up sheet so, for individuals that would be willing to house migrant families," he continued. "And if there’s people that would do that, God bless them. So if we could raise awareness in that way, I think we need to find out. I think we need to find out who would be willing to house migrant families. That would be my new business. I would be looking for support from the diocese. Any questions, discussion, happy to have that."

Me either. They people running Biden (and Obama) simply ignore the Constitution including the Bill or Rights when it suits them.
Some might say the these ‘Refugees’ are not soldiers. I would reply that they are foot soldiers of Biden’s war on the American people.
It's actually arguable. I think the Fifth Amendmnet is more on point:
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Forcing someone to board illegal immigrants would definitely count as a "taking." That said, it's why I raised the issue of property under "disability," which means "just compensation" would be pennies on the dollar. Then it's an easy slippery slope to force use of other private property "for fairness."
Suspect that may be the plan.

This is why I would argue the 3 rd instead.
Just compensation gives the option for the Fed to just keep pumping out fiat currency to fund their taking of America.
The 3 rd would force Congress to pass a law forcing citizens to quarter Biden’s foot soldiers (and potential murders, rapist and terrorist) in their homes (or rental property).
Little chance that would happen.

All politicians who favor open borders must be made to accept a family of “migrants,” accepting full financial responsibility for all their needs.
Fair enough but two points:
(1) Biden could do this by executive order. Not legal, but that doesn’t matter to his handlers. So could blue state governors, many of whom have complicit legislatures.
(2) “Soldiers” has a very specific meaning, namely part of a military. Think it would be hard to convince a federal judge — especially a leftist one — that the illegal immigrants qualify except for those who are actually part of a military (e.g., Chinese?). Maybe not even them. One interpretation of soldiers under the 3rd is part of the U.S. military. Also, would take years to litigate. If Biden or some other Dem stooge (or Haley - same thing) gets in, we can expect more leftscum on the Supreme Court and we’d lose the argument.

These people are my neighbors. Not mansions by any stretch. They have the “hate has no home here” signs in their front yards. There is no chance these “holier than thou” liberals will allow scuzzy migrants into their homes. These people are the ultimate in HYPOCRACY.
