There are many names being floated as former President Donald Trump’s running mate, including the ever-loyal Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), whom he reportedly believes would be a “killer” pick. But Megyn Kelly named the possibility of another woman that could be chosen—one which would infuriate his base.
“Is it out of the realm of possibility that he chooses [Nikki] Haley? Absolutely not. It’s not. I realize that MAGA doesn’t want it. They’ve convinced themselves that Nikki Haley is against all the things that they stand for,” she told Dave Rubin.
Kelly argued he may have to just deal with the choice if he wants to win.
“He personally really must win if he doesn’t want to go to jail,” Kelly argued, predicting that if he loses he's going to jail for a long time. “If that’s your situation, I think you might be thinking, ‘MAGA is gonna get over Nikki Haley if I tell them to get over Nikki Haley.’ I know for a fact that's how Trump thinks."
What would the advantage be with pulling Haley on board? To Kelly, she would bring the moderates and independents, which Trump needs if he’s going to be victorious come November.
In 2016, Trump needed to convince conservatives he was to be trusted as a Republican president, hence the Mike Pence pick, she said.
"Now he needs something different," Kelly argued. "He needs to convince moderates and Democrats he’s not the devil, he’s not going to do a six week abortion ban, the things that drive Dems to the polls, so it does make some sense."
Rubin agreed with Kelly’s assessment.
“I could not agree more,” Rubin said. “When I see all these people that are suddenly like, 'No, he’ll never do it,’ and/or, ‘I won’t vote for him if he chooses Nikki,’ it’s like, you’ll do what Trump kind of tells you to do, actually.”
This is just a lead balloon by the establishment trying to force Haley onto the ticket... Which is what this attempt to astroturf haley is all about... Trump needs to CRUSH her, and do so decidedly in NH and SC to nip this nonsense in the bud.
This is basically the attempt by the establishment to get one of their own on the ticket, that’s all lit is... just like they forced GWB onto Reagan’s ticket in 80.
Someone who argues we should bring Palestinians into the US has no business on the ticket, period. No Trump does not need some establishment coward, owned by the uniparty and globalist money men as his VP.
Personally I don’t see this happening, but they are going to try beyond all hope to make this reality happen... personally I think it would harm Trump a lot if he were to put her on the ticket.... I don’t see him falling for this trap, but they are going to try with all their might to make it happen
nikki brings nothing to the ticket except doubt and lack of commitment to the maga movement.
Picking Nikki is like picking John Bolton last time. I would have thought he learned his lesson from his first term to only pick those who support his policies. If he were to choose her I’ll have to assume he’s learned nothing and then I’ll vote RFK Jr. And I’ll bet there’s more like me out there.

I think people who want to hurt his chances are behind this effort of insinuating it will be Nikki.
I hope when Trump wins enough in the primaries that he lays this notion to rest by picking a running mate we can all get behind. There are quite a few names out there being floated. He doesn’t need Nikki. He needs another America First loyal running mate to carry on the MAGA idea.
In fact, I think Haley might actually pass away if she had to utter MAGA.
She refused to accept the premise of the questions, and had in depth rebuttal on every issue.

I didn’t like Vivek Ramaswamy speech at the rally - whoever Trump chooses must NOT be competing with him - but supporting him. Ramaswamy veered off in a Kumbaya way - - we’re not ready to ‘can’t we all get along’ until the job is done. Nikki Haley’s agenda is not our agenda either. But both people would add to the Administration. DeSantis understands chain of command... and would happily be a second on border control and many other tasks. Pompaeo is still possible - especially if there’s a possibility of war. Rick Scott has merit. Tucker would be interesting...

What concerns me are the rumors that he wanted Chris Cristie in 2016, but like all things concerning Trump, its hard to tell if this is legitimate or propaganda from his opponents.
