If it has a 30mm cannon, I’ll take one.
Back when I was in college a professor had a hovercraft which many of his students spent time working on. The low friction that made forward motion so easy also made it like driving on ice when turning. Have they put in more active controls or do you still tend to keep going in your old direction even after turning the front to a new direction?
Mine’s full of eels.

What global see rise?
Why did we get rid of these? They sported a 76mm and Harpoons.

You think they can do it in three?
Check, please!
Mark Piesing is not smart enough to pour urine out of a boot if the instructions were on the boot heel.
They are interesting. But they steer like a German shepherd on a frozen pond.

Why the hovercraft's time might have finally arrived
Could they be about to enjoy a second wind?
The concept of the hovercraft is older than you might think.
Great timing. A little Ingenuity goes a long way. (This Little Light of Mine.)
The world's first hovercraft, the place of First Wind (and First Light):
Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved* upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
* מרחפת, merachefet, "hovered"
2. "And the spirit of G-d hovered upon the waters." (Gen. 1:2) Midrash Rabba explains that this "spirit of G-d" hovering upon the waters is actually the "soul of Mashiach," a term that refers to the highest possible G-d awareness/truth awareness that human beings are capable of.
Rashi:
and the spirit of God was hovering: The Throne of Glory was suspended in the air and hovered over the face of the water with the breath of the mouth of the Holy One, blessed be He and with His word, like a dove, which hovers over the nest, acoveter in Old French, to cover, hover over.

like a dove... yonah/Jonah [יונה] = 71
(I could go on with the pattern of "and the Spirit of God" [ורוח אלהים] being naturally divided as 6 [ו] and + 300 [ש], as it is here: JerUSAlem [ירושלים], in which is the national personification name meaning "dove", the symbol for the soul and of the people of Israel, but I digress.)
But all the excitement seemed to fizzle out in the year 2000.
2000 ["ארצות הברית של אמריקה"] was a big bet ['ב], so don't luz hope:
:לבן וזהב
-(רחפ)-
= 288
The first and last letters of the word for hovering, "mirachefet", spell the word "met", meaning "dead". Its three middle letters are the numerical value 288, alluding to the 288 "dead" or fallen sparks of divine light that descended in order to sustain the lower worlds.3
It is known that with the elevation and refinement of these 288 Sparks, the Messianic era will commence (Arizal).
Fields and Dreams
Joseph embodies the power to unify the fallen sparks of holiness
(Genesis 41:38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?)
Would you like the breakdown of how "the light" is the "ohr choser" along with Rachel in the verse? It's right there in the Hebrew where the the returning light ha-ohr is interwoven L to R with Rachel going R to L, on the place of the Spirit of God.
(Shining Letters)
Ingenuity -- the Mars hovercraft analog, hovering over Jezero "lake" crater -- has performed 71 flights as of this writing.
As you can see from the Flight Log, there are two places where the to/from airfields stayed the same for the largest number of flights (4). They are the bookends:
Flights 1-4 at Wright Brothers Field
Flights 68-71 at airfield Chi (Χχ).
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10
68 + 69 + 70 + 71 = 278
10 + 278 = 288
These "bookends" as of Flight 71 are 4 and 4, which like the "bookends" of merachefet, spell death.
At the same time, 4-4 is shishi [獅子], "lion". 44 = all of the Chanukah candles,
and a yo-yo [יו-יו], which when hovering, is sleeping, which is 1/60 of death:
Sleeping
The sleeper is one of the most common yo-yo throws and is the basis for nearly all yo-yo throws other than looping. Keeping a yo-yo spinning while remaining at the end of its uncoiled string is known as sleeping. While the yo-yo is in the "sleeping" state at the end of the string, one can then execute tricks like "walk the dog", "the elevator", "around the world", or the more complex "rock the baby".
The essence of the throw is that one throws the yo-yo with a very pronounced wrist action so that when the yo-yo reaches the end of the string it spins in place rather than rolling back up the string to the thrower's hand.
"It makes you feel very free," says Griffon's chief pilot Ben Avery. "You can climb straight out of the sea onto the sand, and it's one of the few machines that doesn't have anything in the way of automatic control, so you drive it by the seat of your pants. It's all done by feel and reaction.
...the highest possible G-d awareness/truth awareness that human beings are capable of.
Why not put a rudder on them. It wouldn’t take much to make it more controllable.
First law of hovercraft piloting: if you see it, you will hit it.
