Experts say some Americans aren't accessing available vaccines and treatments.
Why are so many Americans still dying of COVID?
For the week ending Dec. 9, the last week of complete data, there were 1,614 deaths from COVID, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The last four weeks of complete data show an average of 1,488 weekly deaths.
By comparison, there were 163 weekly deaths from the flu for the week ending Dec. 9, according to CDC data.

The current "weekly rate of COVID mortality is similar to what we were getting per day at [the worst] parts of the pandemic. So, proportionally, we're in a completely different place than where we were, thankfully," Dr. Cameron Wolfe, a professor of infectious diseases at Duke University in North Carolina, told ABC News. "But there's still a pretty significant mortality; 1,500 patients dying every week is unacceptable, frankly."
Experts said there are several reasons why people might still be dying from the virus, including not enough people accessing treatments or getting vaccinated as well as waning immunity.
Additionally, if more people get sick, even if in lesser numbers than in previous waves, it will naturally lead to more people becoming hospitalized and, in turn, dying.

They are still taking people into hospital with covid (supposedly) and giving them the remdesivir and the ventilator. Then they die.
This happened to a guy that lives close to me. His wife never got covid, so I have my doubts.
So tying that headline in with another I read on FR just today says that 6000 of the 10,000 people that died from covid world wide last month are Americans.
Total crapolla.

My son is a paramedic with the fire department line.
They are dying because they’re not able to treat them or allowed to treat them for the flu.

Because they aren’t.
If she was vaccinated and still caught Covid within a few months of vaccination (immunity wears off in a few months), she may have an impaired immune system.
A person with an impaired immune system only has herd immunity to protect them. Herd immunity works by decreasing the number of sick people who can spread disease. It does not keep a person from getting sick if exposed.
My son got Covid after being vaccinated. It was a mild illness, with some sniffling. Without the immunity in place from the vaccines, he could have become very sick. Hubby and I did not catch Covid, despite this known exposure. We’re both vaccinated.
Pardon my french, but I didn’t believe the mortality data from 2020 to 2022.....why in the world should I believe that shit now?

Yeah... the numbers are made up by those who read the death certificates and tabulate the causes of death recorded on the death certificates.
Every person who dies gets a death certificate (unless they disappeared without a trace). The death certificate records the cause of death. The deaths are reported to state and federal health agencies. The CDC puts out a report every year of how many people died from what. It’s fascinating reading.

Because when you die from pneumonia and you happen to have Covid, they call it Covid... When you die from cancer and you happen to have Covid, they call it Covid... When you have a car accident and die, and happen to have Covid, they call it Covid... Death by Covid and death with Covid... Two different things.

So all they need to add is Covid to the contributory cause and viola... Covid caused the death.... For instance.

Perhaps because the COVID bonus payments to hospitals is still in effect??

I see 2 obvious possibilities:
1) The government is still paying for COVID deaths, so that’s what’s being reported. Died from the flu? No money! Died from COVID? HERE’S SOME CASH!
2) Lies and fear mongering.
Because they are still jacking the numbers.
Maybe they are dying from the Jabs they took?
