I joined Nextdoor to see if there were any good deals I could find, also to stay informed about local issues.
Instead of a normal community, I found a bunch of wrinkled psychotic Karens. I made a joke or two and immediately was set upon by some sociopath chick who told me (publicly and privately in Nextdoor email) that I needed mental health help, and that I was a very evil, very bad person. She called me every name in the book, and ranted at me for about two pages of insane text.
I reported this crazy lady using the Report feature, and asked her politely never to contact me again.
The next time I tried to log on, I found I was banned.
Nexrtdoor.com is a ghetto version of the old Twitter, with banning policies that have absolutely no consistency or reason, and who is populated by shrill psychotic old ladies looking for a reason -- any reason -- to jump you.
Boy, Laz, you hit that one on the head. Nextdoor is a weird place.
Maybe your jokes really stunk!? Post ‘em and let us decide :)
I 100% concur. During covid I spoke out about the nazi strategy to take control of our lives and next thing I know county officials are showing up at my office with masks and propaganda. They really are mentally ill. That is not an exaggeration.
I’ve been using it here in the Alabama sticks, and while it doesn’t seem nasty or full of crazy old ladies, there’s hardly any content or posts. Mostly lost dogs and cats, and an occasional ad to sell some junk.
Nextdoor is worthless. I had to turn off almost every notification to stop getting 20 emails a day on the same tired lost pet posts.
I will add this though, it is definitely NOT just women. There are many libtard men that hang out of ND and spew their rhetoric
The professional networking site LinkedIn is getting just as bad. Don’t even open in during the month of June.
Did you hit any?
So what were the jokes?
Kinda scary to think these people live in my neighborhood.
Makes me cling to my bible and gun a little tighter.
100 percent monitored by every three letter agency.
The founder, Nirav Tolia, made Epinions, and I actually had a review on there that, surprisingly, for me, was upvoted so much the site paid me over $30. I didn't even expect any money—I just put my detailed review there to help others.
Epinions was not a liberal mess. This new company, with the other principals, appears to rely on local Marxists to work their communities. It probably started okay, then devolved into what government also becomes, due to infestation—a liberal mess.
That's a shame. I've gotten some good jobs through LinkedIn.
What happens in June where I should avoid it?
Oh? It’s a clone of DU?...................
Yep. Mine is dominated by Hillary/Biden supporting wealthy cat ladies who live up in the hills.
They’re all for “helping the homeless” - as long as it’s not in THEIR neighborhoods. You are called a “racist” and “heartless bigot” if you disagree with their pronouncements.
Was going to ask one of them her address so I could drop off a homeless person on her front lawn with his tent - but knew I would be banned instantly...
I didn't even mention race, but commented on suspicious kids wearing hoodies in the summer, at night. I was called a "racist" for pigeonholing people who dress like that. I was even warned by a mod. I cancelled my account shortly after.
I think it’s also a racket for puppy mills.
I don’t post on it...joined to find out local news....but, as you say, it’s completely taken over by Marxist Karens....even in rural areas.
That’s hilarious.
Marxist women would be one thing. At least I understand their motivation, even if it is a horrible one.
But my issue is that some psycho chick went on an unhinged rant at me for no reason, and by reporting her, *I* got banned.
