Gen-Z will hopefully soon realize supporting and advocating for Biden was a bad idea.

VIDEO AT LINK.......................

TRANSCRIPT (SHE TALKS FAST):

I cannot stand how the news has been dogging Gen Z and calling them lazy for not wanting to work 9-5 for the rest of their lives. Let me put it in perspective for everyone who's a little confused here, all right?

I work five days out of the week, 40 hours a week. I do not make enough to live on my own. I would not make enough to pay rent, water, electric, and eat, all by myself. I would not be capable of doing that.

Twenty years ago, when you were getting started, you could live on your own. Twenty years ago when you first started, you were able to do everything that I am now struggling to do.

Let me add another perspective here. You've been working for 20 years. You have 20 years of working experiencing behind your belt. You have 20 years of experience in a career that has allowed you to gain raises, to get more money, to profit you in an economy that you created. You can sit here and call Gen Z lazy all you want, but I have been working my tail-end off just to barely make it by, and respectfully I don't want to do that for the rest of my life. I don't want to work my tail-end off, wasting all of my life working, just to barely be able to pay my bills.

And that is what you created. Not Gen Z. We're just here getting started. You've been doing it for the last 20 years. You tell me how it got ruined. We can sit here and we can call Gen Z lazy all you want. But you let the economy turn into what it did. You let it all run to hell. And now it's Gen Z's fault because we don't want to work to fix your mistakes.

YOW!

No lies detected. She gets it. A few decades ago someone busting their back at 40 hours a week could expect to see good returns. Now in many markets it's hardly enough to make rent.

The problem is bad... and has been for years:

It effects everything from food to housing:

For the Gen Zers that are starting to figure this out, let me introduce you to someone who may be sorta kinda part of the problem:

Remember to vote in November, kids!

You need about 16 dollars an hour and a willingness to live with roomies to have at least a modest “okay” lifestyle to start out with...assuming good control on your budget and little or no overhanging debt..student or otherwise. There’s ways to mitigate needs for medical insurance which is another expense. A little overtime work doesn’t hurt and if not in school one should learn a needed trade or skill. The issue is that it’s not so bad now but the trajectories we are seeing are potentially “Weimar Republic” in scope so that so most everyone other than those riding the tops of the Pyramids will soon be in trouble. Then there will be revolution whether we like it or not!

It could be all fixed but those in power don’t want to change things and half general populace is in a state of moral corruption and even the best of us are struggling to hold the line despite God’s grace! Something has to give and I doubt it will be all for the better...at least in the short run and even 10 to 20 years out.

Some of the replies here are a bit disappointing.

Over the last 70 years, this nation and society have been eroded, eaten away, and hollowed out.

Some have pointed out the effects of inflation and stagnant wages over this period. Add to that our national debt, immigration, the distribution of wealth, the decline of manufacturing, the cost of things that have outpaced inflation and wages, and general changes in our society.

All generations during this period have been to one extent or another like the proverbial frog in a slowly heated pot.

Every bubble or downturn is like a game of musical chairs, someone is left without a seat after.

Is the trajectory we are on sustainable?

I see three underlying causes: Greed, Corruption, and indifference.

Think of these terms broadly over that period.

The younger generations have been placed in that pot of water when it is near a boil, and know something is not right.

An interesting observation, worthy of thought.

What do we do with that thought?

It has happened often throughout history.

In the case of the French revolution and many others it was directed toward what they didn’t want. And after that there was more they didn’t want.

In the case of the American Revolution, it was directed toward what we wanted.

I don’t know what we can do other than grab the wheel from the greedy and corrupt and give it a strong yank in another direction.

For myself, I have prepared not for a comfy retirement, but rather for survival for myself and my offspring if this all collapses.

It is also time to invest in people.

A well regulated militia being necessary...............

Well regulated means being of common cause and purpose.

Blackrock and other money monopolies are buying all the housing.

Don't forget the MILLIONS of instant new residents i.e. illegals, who ALL need shelter, ALL of whom are competing with Americans for housing.

Gee, why are rents so unaffordable??

I wonder if she might be able to comprehend how there might be a connection with minimum wage laws and inflation.
Government regulations and inflation.
Bank bailouts and inflation.
People on government tit and taxes?
etc, etc, the list is huge and mostly because of government and government.

I was born in 1963 and have never voted for a demoncrat in my life.
I live in Washington state and have seen it destroyed by retards.
Leave me the hell alone.

I always had a roommate.
I could not have done it on my own in the 80s.

That is baloney. Or as you would say, BS. I included the link. The federal minimum wage did not increase to $1.00 an hours until 1956. I note that you did not include any correct information about the federal minimum wage in 1955 nor did you include any information on how you arrived at $1.00 in 1955 would be worth $11.55 in 2024.

I do not hate young people nor am I a curmudgeon. I do hate stupid people regardless of their age. I included a link to the figures where are NOT fudged. So I must conclude you are stupid.

Actually no one has ever been able to live on their own on minimum wage.

Not in 1960. Not in 1970 or ever. Particularly in a city. Hech in NYC in the 60s and 70s 4 girls shared a two bedroom

These kids think that the should be making 6 figure salaries right out of high school.

When I graduated HS, I suddenly realized I didn’t have any skill that employers wanted.

I had a minimum wage job at a Krystal flipping burgers, but wanted more.

I joined the Marines.......................

From the US Department of Labor: "$1.00 an hour. A specific section was added granting the Wage and Hour Administrator in the U.S. Department of Labor authorization to control the incidence of exploitative industrial homework. A 1955 amendment increased the minimum wage to $1.00 an hour with no changes in coverage."

From Carbon Collective Investment: "$1 in 1955 has the same purchasing power as $11.23 in 2024. Over the 69 years this is a change of $10.23."

It's called research, buddy.

I (and my younger brother) also served in combat in Vietnam in the Marines. I don't call young people who complain about today's economic situation "whiny little bitches". I call them "conservatives in training".

Congress raised the minimum wage form $0.75 per hour to $1.00 an hour in 1955 to take effect on 1 January 1956.

I called her a whiney little witch not a whiny little bitch. Learn to read please or is it too late for you?

I thank you and your brother for your service.
