Gabbard isn’t alone in enjoying vegan comfort food. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) told the Times, “When you’re vegan, that means a lot of veggies on the go.”

South Bend, Indiana, mayor, Pete Buttigieg, indicated that some folks are already aware of his choice in comfort food, since he’s been receiving it from supporters out on the trail. “The word got out that I like beef jerky," he said, "so people have been kind enough to give that to me on the road sometimes.”
