The aquariums are usually stocked with native freshwater pond fish, although I have seen a few with koi in them.

Ever been in a Bass Pro or Cabela’s? Not in five or ten years. Its a location thing. And, I expected it was to be a freshwater tank, because most of their fishing gear is aimed at freshwater.
