Video captured the terrifying moment beachgoers were slammed into by a massive rogue wave in Ventura on Thursday.
The incident happened as locals were being warned about a massive swell pounding the Southern California coastline this week.
The rogue wave submerged bystanders at Pierpont Beach on Seaward Avenue around 11 a.m. That area has been hit the hardest with what the National Weather Service called “tremendous wave energy.”
Beachgoers were seen frantically running for their lives. The raging waters destroyed the windows of nearby beachfront buildings and hotels on its destructive path.

Democrats, through their media whores, will blame this wave on capitalism and climate change.
You can get your melon thumped pretty good in a situation like that. Around here, it’s usually driftwood. Trucks wouldn’t be any fun, either.
That wasn’t much of a seawall. What pathetic “protection.” But then, they’re probably averse to blocking the migration of sea turtles.

I know a guy who was visiting southern CA on vacation back in the 1980s. He was standing in knee deep water when a rogue wave hit him and slammed him down onto the beach.
It was only about 6’ high. It broke his back. After several surgeries he was able to walk with a cane.

I lived through one - ran as fast as I could (had a buddy with me) and we fortunately jumped onto a 30’ long 3’ diameter log ‘drift wood’ and the ocean water went 200’ past us. This happened at 10:00 PM at night with a full moon...
Just south of us two old ladies were walking on the beach after watching a movie. They were not aware of the ocean — nor could they have outrun the rouge wave — and they drowned brutally.

God hates California. God hates Ventura for removing Fr. Serra’s Statue at the behest of some Santa Barbara students and a few radical Chumash Tribe members (Many supported Saint Serra).
