A congressman with links to ‘The Squad’ who proudly voted to defund Austin police has been slammed after he requested enhanced patrols outside his home in the Texas city.

Democrat Rep. Greg Casar was a prominent voice in the defunding of the Austin Police Department as a member of the city council in 2020 following the Black Lives Matter movement. Last week he also criticized the force for alleged racist practices.

Now, he has submitted a request through the United States Capitol Police in Washington, DC, for a police patrol at his house - the request was forwarded to Austin police.

The politician was blasted by the Austin Police Retired Officers Association in a post on X Tuesday.

‘We want everyone in Austin to feel safe,’ it said. ‘But this seems to us as the height of hypocrisy from the congressman.’

Casar backed a vote to defund Austin Police as a city council member and it led to a police shortage as well as a wave of officers retiring from the force.

‘We did it!!’, he wrote in a post on X in August 2020. ‘Austin City Council just reduced APD's budget by over $100 million *and* reinvested resources into our community's safety and well-being.’

However, the Texas congressman sent a letter to the Justice Department last week where he criticized the Austin Police Department.

He wrote about the ‘need for systemic reforms to the Department's policies and practices of excessive and lethal use of force, racial discrimination, and discrimination against people with mental health conditions.’

The Austin Police Retired Officers Association was left unimpressed at his request for enhanced patrols around his house by the same officers he has criticized.

‘It’s come to our attention that Anti police king of the defund movement in Austin @GregCasar who...

I love the expression seven shades of shut in these circumstances .
It takes a lot for a grown man with fixed ideas to change his ways, but,,, there he is, an elected official of the people.
Now, with that being said, that’s a lot of ass kicking necessary to reinstil common sense amongst the pipples.

Does your proposition go all the way to the president? If not where would you draw the line?

Yes, somebody elected this turd to the tune of 72.5% in the 2022 midterms. Short of a nuke from space, there’s no hope for that district.

Well, SOMEBODY elected this turd.

And there you have the root of the problem.

"This turd" genuinely represents a lot of people who are POS, hate Whites, hate Christians, and hate America. "Elections" are not going to fix this sort of problem.

Other measures will be required.

Wow, it must be devastating to live among absolute idiots who voted for this piece of filth. He obviously only values his own hide, and to heck with that of his constituents. I wonder if the election was stolen, or are your neighbors really that stupid?

I believe we have at least twice as many cops as a free society needs. I would defund them 50%.

But I’m willing and able to live with the result of that.

I would only exempt the President because of the Secret Service, Congress, well, they should be on their own, just like everybody else. If Congress actually believed in the US Constitution, there would be NO STATE LAWS on “Gun Control”. Let them fend for themselves.

I doubt it. I am pretty sure most Hispanic politicians seem tto be first or second generation Americans. It doesn’t take them too many generations to figure out THAT is the quickest way to wealth, health & power.

Austin is the San Francisco of Texas. No fraud needed other than to determine what flavor of Rat will be the areas representitive. That answers your question.
