“and women were persecuted”
Raising children in the home is persecution?
Pictures at the link. Aria looks Not Guilty to me.
An acre is much nicer than a quarter acre.
Five acres is about the minimum for a self-sustaining farm.

She is dressing like in the pioneer days, not like in the forties. The forties wore midi length and stylish shoes.
Nonetheless, this trad wife thing is no different than stay at home mom. I did that. Stopped practicing law and stayed home with my kids. Loved it. Wouldn’t trade it. Baked. House was kept up. Cooked dinner every night.
She’s not hideous.
I married an Anglo-Tyrolean (Anglo-Italian?) girl to whom food is love and children are her life (now grandchildren). She stayed at home and raised our four children, for which they and myself are eternally grateful. BTW, why didn’t women want to compete with men in the workplace when it involved scratching the walls of a coal mine 14 hours a day, six days a week?
If the household income allows for one of the two spouses to be “at home” that’s great.Particularly if it’s the wife who’s at home...raising the kids, keeping the house running. Both the breadwinner’s contribution *and* the wife’s are important. Vitally important.
And you probably were pregnant and had a couple kids to care for...no pampers so that means diapers to wash because birth control was not good. And no TV so nothing to do at night but make love.
Whatever floats her boat...as long as no one else is hurt.
Choices. Good post. Thanks.
Yesterday’s War Room show was excellent and it covered a lot regarding tradition, from music to movies to art (Norman Rockwell). I’m going to watch it again today. (LS had a great segment.)
There a lot to be said for returning to a more civilized, traditional, Christian lifestyle in America.
It’ll never happen, but moving in that direction couldn’t hurt.
There was elegance and beauty, but most importantly a sense of self worth, pride and FEMININITY in women back then.
What we call feminism has robbed women of every sense of that word.
Today you have a bunch of fat, tattooed, unloyal, boyish (penis envy), childless he/she’s that want to lecture you about the patriarchy and privilege after they take their first sociology course at a college.
In most western nations, women (not all, but most) are trash, unable to support a true relationship with a man, maintain a household and rear children. Public education and the arts turned them into good factory workers that see their entire value merely through some idiotic career or title bestowed on them after graduating with a worthless degree that gets them no real job. They are little boys in how they look and act.
That’s the real reason many men look for women outside western nations. It’s simply hard to find something which hasn’t been used like a public bus and is capable of being part of a marriage and family.
Being normal is insane today.
Sweet story
In 10 years she'll divorce him, claim no skills whatsoever to support herself, get "lifetime" alimony, excessive support for the kids, put him on the hook for college education and get half of his social security and any pension benefits he worked for too.
Seen it dozens of times already.
Taking bets for when the same media that promotes the idea that men can get pregnant starts to ridicule her.
“Words of wisdom” from a 22-year-old? *chortle* I knew everything when I was 22, too.
Best wishes to the family.
There’s definitely some momentum behind the rejection of modern feminism. Some of it is just a result of a weak snowflake generation of women that realize this expectation to have a career is hard and not what it’s cracked up to be. They also think they’re a ‘10’ and work is beneath them, they deserve a guy that makes $300k/yr to support “the life I want and deserve”.
That said, there’s glimmers of hope. I enjoy the YouTube channel “Just Pearly Things”. The young lady that hosts this channel is a breath of fresh air when it comes to feminism and the culture wars. She shoots down many attitudes of the women she interviews. They’re so delusional - but it is epidemic. Now some ladies, such as this ‘trad wife’, realize what modern culture is offering is poison and are going in the opposite direction.
