Playing on ABC (7:00 pm EST)
My younger sister sent me a text this evening to remind me that it was on tonight. We loved watching this together as children, and now as grown ups with our own families, we watch together, even though hundreds of miles apart. I missed the first 15 minutes, but not to worry. I think I know it almost by heart now.
Every time I go to the Swiss Alps
I love to shoot the Mac-11s at random
Now I don’t know if that’s actually Germany since
that was where they were supposed to be
Only Christian theme movies for the last thirty. Why fund immoral hostile blasphemy that attacks America and family values passed to me by my parents. Just do not need the regular doses of filth.
Theodore Bilki(sp) played him in the 1959 Broadway production
As I replied.... I don’t doubt that this is accurate. From the photos I’ve seen of the real Maria, she looked like a tough cookie!
But, Julie Andrews couldn’t play the heavy, and no one else could sing all this music!
A salty 50ish sea captain makes it with his hired teenage nanny. Um, ok.....
The hills are alive with the sound of pedophelia.
Remember during the Trump administration when the media claimed Trump was a Nazi because at one of the event the band played Edelweiss. Guess they were shocked to learn the song was not even written until a decade after WW2, and was an anti Nazi song to boot.
Since Maria was not prepubescent, no.
He had 25 year on her.
My dad loved old movies, especially musicals and dancing movies. I was introduced to classic older movies very early.
Back in 1996 I visited Salzburg. There are two Sound of Music bus tours there which take you around to a number of the filming locations. It’s a must for fans of the movie. I went with the one that was the same bus company that Maria uses and gets off of when she goes to the Barons place. Their slogan was Maria used our bus and so should you. Here is a link to one of them. I assume it’s the one I took.

My favorite! My daughters, that are grown now love it too. We all sing the music. It makes me happy to see it during the holidays.
A movie about the consequences of a bank failure.
Maybe they should make a movie from Von Trapp’s book:
“To the Last Salute”
My mom used to “marry and bury” people with her voice when I was a young.
Her voice was the equivalent of the character of the “Mother Superior” in the film.
Always brought be to tears.
You’re nuts
She was 21 and a collage graduate.
Not exactly a child even by today's standards.
46 YO men marry 21 YO women all the time.
Yes, usually mail order brides. Most 21 year old women vomit at the thought of getting nasty with dudes in their late 40s.
It snuck in just before neo-marxist cultural destruction of the USA really got rolling
